Early morning and Kristen was already activating herself around in the kitchen. She got woken up at the crack of dawn by the cries of Laelynn , and not wanting to wake up Rob, she had quickly rushed to her. She was only three weeks old, so they had decided from the beginning that she would sleep in their room. And now here they were. Thankfully her baby girl was sleeping in her bassinet near her, so she could finish her baking in peace.

Today was Rob's 27th birthday, and she was making him his favourite dessert, as a breakfast, yeah. In the oven there were some chocolate cupcakes and a chocolate cake for tonight.

After a round of laundry and cleaning Kristen had to stop to take care of her Laelynn, crying her ears out as if she had been starving her to death. Stepping into the living room she checked the time on her phone, it was 10am, definitely time to breastfeed her little monster. Preparing everything as per usual she got herself comfortable on the couch and started her feeding.

The whole house was silent. Rob was still sleeping and the dogs were out. After the first few tries she sort of got used to that feeling on her breast and could relax a bit. It was their mother/daughter time, she loved every second of it. More or less thirty minutes later, she changed her and cuddled her a bit before they both went upstairs. On her way up she did not forget to pick up a chocolate cupcake with a candle on top.

Slowly she stepped into their bedroom, and Rob was sprawled out on their bed. She sat on the edge of it next to him.

"Honey." She whispered to wake him up lightly. A second later he turned his head to her side and opened one eye before closing it. Kristen giggled at him and so did Laelynn, in her own weird baby noises. "Happy Birthday."

Rob opened both of his eyes, and in his sleepy state he smiled at the loves of his life. Kristen bent down to him, as best as she could, and chastely kissed him.

"Happy birthday, daddy." Kristen told him handing him the cupcake. He took it from her happily. "I would have lit it up, but you know, baby and fire not a good mix, especially with a clumsy mum like me." Rob laughed at her and sat properly on the bed. Then he faked blowing up his non lit candle.

"Thank you, love." He took a bit of the cupcake and moaned in pleasure. His girlfriend definitely had a gift in baking and cooking. "Hey, baby girl."

Putting  the cupcake on the nightstand he focused on his daughter, whose eyes moved from Kristen to him when he talked. Resting on the headboard he patted the place next to him on the bed, and Kristen didn't waste time moving there. They stayed like that for a few minutes. Rob holding their daughter in his arms against his chest, with Kristen resting her head onto his shoulder and her legs tangled up with his.

"You could have wake me up."

"I know. But it's your birthday and you needed your sleep."

She kissed his shoulder, as if to tell him to not fight with her and to enjoy the rest of their day together. He sighed, even though he felt bad she had to take care of her all by herself. He had just got back home the day before, after two whole days in New York for work. It had been the first time he had left them both alone at home, and it had been difficult for him. So today he would savoured his time with them.

"What about a walk? She's just woken up and the weather is nice." Kristen asked him, lazily letting her hand move on his arm. He nodded at her and went to get ready with his baby girl. Kristen let him dress her for their walk. Seeing he enjoyed it she wasn't gonna complain to be able to dress without having to look back every seconds that nothing had happened, even though she still did, it was instinctual.

Their daughter was down for her afternoon nap in her nursery, so Kristen took Rob's hand leading him to their bedroom. Once the door closed she kissed his lips hungrily, wrapping her arms around his neck. Not one to reject this kind of initiative, Rob happily kissed her back. Grabbing her by the back of her thighs he forced her to enrolled his waist with her legs. Kristen's long hair was shielding them, creating an even more intimate bubble.

Rob walked to their bed before stopping their kiss and laying her on it. Not a second later Kristen grabbed his shirt and moved it up for him to undress. Then she moved her hands to his belt, but she was stopped by his.

"We can't." Rob told her and she only sat down on the bed and kept going with his belt, chasing his hands off.

"I'm well aware of that." Kristen told him with an obvious sarcasm. "Doesn't mean you can't get anything to pleasure you." Her task done, his jeans fell down to his ankles, and a smirk appeared on her face looking at him in the eyes. "You're the birthday boy. You deserve a treat." Gripping his boxers she moved them slightly. "Or maybe I do." Rob groaned back at her, totally getting her play with words and getting him more and more excited.

"Look at those cheeks." Clare was holding her granddaughter, staring at her in wonder. "She looks a lot like you, Rob." At those words Kristen looked at him and mouthed to him an 'I told you so.'

"Nah, she's so much more like her mummy." Kristen shivered, feeling overwhelmed by love. Between his british accent coming up thanks to his family, and the sweet words he was telling, she was swooning over them.

Rob's family had been here since before the birth, but that was the first time everyone was reunited over dinner. They all came to visit for the past three weeks or so, only for a short amount of time. Rob and her had decided to enjoy the first few days of their daughter together before showing her to the world and having her being passed around from arms to arms.

Apart from feeding her, since Rob woke up she barely held Laelynn. That was close to impossible when then pairs of arms were impatient to get to her. Even though she loved her family, she felt a tug in her heart seeing her baby girl moved around. Sighing she let her head down on Rob's left shoulder, immediately he put his arm around her shoulders and held her close.

"Thank you." He whispered kissing the side of her head.

"For what?" She whispered back to him, cuddling herself even more closer to his body.

"This family dinner. You're the best woman ever, you know that?"

Tilting her head back she chuckled and he plowed down a kiss on her lips. He knew Kristen was tired. No, exhausted was the correct word. And still here she was hosting a dinner for 11 people. That wasn't an easy task to deal with, nonetheless she succeeded brightly to give him a nice birthday.

"Trying for another one already, uh?" Rob chuckled, but Kristen only flipped off her little brother, who was sitting on her left.
