CHAPTER XVIII
THE END !

THREE CHEAP CASKETS LIE OPEN SIDE BY
side as a gang of five stand around them. A boy with rusty colored sideburns no longer telling jokes, a boy who seemed so tough was crying, a boy with blue eyes that seemed to dance no longer danced. There was also a boy who looked unaffected but was breaking on the inside, beside him stood a pale boy who looked as if one touch could break him.

Three cheap caskets lie open side by side. One held the Sun, one held the Earth and the other held the Moon. Without the Moon, the Earth would tilt too far and become unstable. Without the Moon, the Sun would be alone. The Sun and Moon needed the Earth, but the Earth was gone and so the light gave out also.

Three cheap caskets lie open side by side. One held light, one held darkness and one held hope. Though it is strange, they all needed each other and when one is taken away so are the others. Without light there is no hope. Without light the darkness becomes too much and it explodes.

One cheap casket lies open, a boy inside. The world hated this boy. This boy was scared, he was nice, he was hurt and bruised but he always got back up. The world knocked him down but he always got stronger.

One cheap casket lies open, a boy inside. He was broken on the inside but no one seemed to care or notice. He held an act together that he was carefree and reckless. The world hated his anchor and he hated the world for taking his anchor.

One cheap casket lies open, a girl inside. Her world was not our world, her world was someone. Her world smiled and talked and brought her a feeling she had never felt before. She felt loved for once in her life and that was her world. But the world hated her world, and it was taken from her. How was one to live without a world?

Love is a violent and overpowering force that stands above all other emotions. No one truly understands the forcefulness of love or the ways love can be felt. But the three people in the three cheap caskets understood love and that is why they all lie side by side.
