*Flashback*

"Linda." I feel his arms wrap around me and I smile.

"David." He kisses my cheek and we just sway back and forth. Today is my birthday.

"So I want you to get dolled up and in about an hour I have plans for us."

"You didn't have to plan anything." He puts his finger on my lips to silent me.

"I wanted to. So don't worry." He walks out of our room and I decide to wear my purple, knee length, strapless dress. It has a black belt with diamonds (fake of course) that wraps around my waist. I think it pulls the dress together and makes it less plane. Now what to do with my hair? I grab my straightener and flatten every piece of my hair and put it in a simple pony tail. I want to look pretty, but not over done. Lastly I put on my black heels and my gold cuff. Looking in the mirror one last time I go downstairs and see David. He's in black dress pants and a blue button up shirt with a black tie.

"Ready to go princess?" He reaches his hand out to me and I gladly take it.

"Of course."

*End of flashback*

I blink a couple of times and notice it's light outside. Issac' s eyes are red and he has some dark circles under them.

"Issac, I can drive if you want." He wipes his face and shakes his head.

"I'm fine. I've been awake longer than this before."

"But you need to rest. C'mon I'll let you sleep for two hours and then you can go back to driving. Deal?"

He reluctantly agrees. "Fine. Deal." He stops the truck and hops out. I scoot over to the drivers side and put my seatbelt on. He gets in the passenger side and lays his head against the window. He needs to sleep more often.

I hear snores coming from his mouth and know I'll probably never wake him up. And I don't plan on it. The whole "deal" thing was just to get him to sleep. I'm letting him sleep as long as he needs to.

The silence is killing me so I go through the CD' s that were left in the car. This person had some good music. I choose an Imagine Dragons CD and turn it down just enough to still have some silence, but not complete silence. Right now their song Demons is playing. I don't know why, but this song gets to me every time.

After a couple of songs I start humming and tapping my thumbs against the steering wheel. This actually feels normal. Subtracting the blood thirsty, man eating, evil psychopaths. I wonder if there's any place left that's normal.

Right now the sun is up and I regret not having Sun glasses. I pull the visor down and look in the compartments, but find nothing. I look up and see a swarm of freaks and hit the breaks. Issac wakes up and braces himself. The car stops five feet away from the swarm.

"Linda... don't move." No problem. I'm frozen. I hear his door open and he shuts it silently. I scoot over to the passenger seat and lock the door. Issac opens his door and climbs in. When his door shuts one of the freaks turns around.

"Issac. What now?" He turns the car on and a couple of the other freaks turn around. They're heading for us. Issac puts it in reverse and starts to drive. All of them notice and start running towards the car. My nails are digging into the seat. Issac puts the truck back into drive and spins it around, heading back the way we came.

"There's no where safe." I whisper.

"Yes there is. We'll find somewhere. We will." I think he's reassuring himself. I put my hand on his and rub circles on it.

"I'm sorry Issac. I got us in to that mess."

"No it could've happened to me to. Don't hate yourself."

"So what now?"

"Keep moving, don't stop. Just like before."
