Issac's POV continued

*Flashback*

I walk up to the front door and knock. I'm kind of nervous. I haven't seen my parents since I was 15 before I ran away. Now I'm 21. So it's been a long time. The door opens and my mom's standing there. She drops everything she's holding and pulls me in for a hug. Did I forget to mention they didn't know I was coming?

"James! James get out here!" My mom is screaming in my ear, but I don't care. My dad runs to the door with a bat, but drops it.

"Issac..." He runs towards me and joins moms hug. I can barely breath they're hugging me so tight. Finally they let go and drag me inside. The place hasn't changed much. Same furniture, same flowers, same pictures, same everything. The only thing that has changed is there's another dog.

"Who's this lil' guy?" I say while petting him.

"Girl actually. And it's Maddie's dog."

"Maddie? She's still living here?" My parents laugh at me.

"She's only 17 Issac. So yeah, she still lives here." I blush and sit down on one of the couches. I haven't seen Maddie in years.... She was just 11 when I left.

My mom sits beside me and puts a hand on my shoulder. "She's upstairs in her room. You should go talk to her." I feel like a stranger in my own house. I nod my head and stand up walking towards the stairs. I feel like my clothes are soaked in water. Each step I take is hard and my steps feel heavy. When I make it upstairs I look at her door.

"Calm down Issac." I walk to her door and take a deep breath, bracing myself for what's to come, I open the door. Maddie's head shoots up and her eyes lock with mine.

"Hey..." I say trying to break the awkward silence. She gets to her feet and strides toward me. Standing in front of me she slaps me. I cup my cheek.

"I probably deserved that." And then she unexpectedly hugs me.

"You did, but I...I missed you." She nuzzles her head in my chest and I hug her back.

"I missed you too."

It's about 6:00 and we're all eating dinner. Like a family. Maddie and I caught up the whole day and we're basically forced to come downstairs to eat. By now everyone was laughing and sharing stories that have happened in the past six years.

"I remember last year your sister was singing in her room, really loud I should say, and we had guests over and one of those guests was her crush. We were friends with his parents. But anyway we sent him upstairs to talk to her and we heard a loud scream." Maddie's face was bright red right now. "When we asked what happened she simply said 'I guess I'm not as good of a singer as I thought.'" We started laughing and Maddie did too.

"Not my problem my parents couldn't warn me." She says and sticks out her tongue.

"This is nice." My mom says.

"Yeah. A whole family dinner for the first time in six years." I say.

There's a noise coming from the the door and my mom gets up to check it out. A minute later there's a scream. My mom's scream.

"Mom!" I run towards the door and some man is on top of her. I grab him by the back of his neck and pull him off of her. She's covered in blood and....bite marks.

"Dad! Do something with this guy!"

He grabs the guy by his arms and drags him towards the living room.
