Bed of Memories

Here goes the night,
Sleeping with stars and moonlight,
I couldn't get it out of my mind,
A streak of light making me blind.
Soft bed and lonely pillow,
Deep tears and a heart so shallow,
Out of air and blinded eyes,
Kissing the memories goodbye.
The beauty that lies beneath,
The reverie under the forlorn sheet,
Trying to catch my breath,
Frozen memories exhumed from death.
The smile of each face,
Tiny kisses and sweet embrace,
Took me back to a paradise,
Where the sun on my face use to rise.
So close those starry eyes,
And kiss the night goodbye,
In this bed where I lie,
Is where I can see everything so vivid, tonight.
