Twisted Fate

We live the life we chose,
Time runs like a speeding horse,
You got yours and I got mine,
A tree and a flower wrapped in a vine.

A twist in a twisted fate,
Destiny could be running late,
We live in our world of differences,
A cloth and a thread needing the stitches.

Paralleled in a broken line,
Looking and asking for a sign,
For we love without a chance,
A singer and a poet refusing to dance.

We ended what we haven't started,
Under the rain we shared and parted,
You take what you can't give,
Yes, we choose the life we live.
