Song- Ain't it Fun by Paramore

Thalia P.O.V.

Worry. That's what the entire hunt felt.

Not fear, but worry.

Their new Guardian was unconscious. The majority of the hunt knew who the male was.

Especially the new ones-they raved about how un-sexist he was as a demigod. Now that he lived to protect them, that awe had turned into love. As soon as a Wolf is turned, a bond forms between it and the hunt. In order for the wolves to protect them, they have to know where they are.

That is why a group of man-haters was huddled around a large male wolf in the middle of the forest. I joined them as soon as Annabeth ended our IM.

A Wolf had never passed out directly after Artemis greeted them before, that is when they are supposed to be strongest.

Even Artemis has absolutely no idea what's going on.

I guess I better wait to bring up Annabeth...

"Oh Sh*t" I yelled, clapping a hand over my mouth as the rest of the hunt and Artemis looked at me strangely.

"Is it of importance lieutenant?" Artemis asked.

"Umm..." I started while rubbing the back of my neck nervously.

"Get on with it we don't have all day, Percy is hurt!" Pheobe exclaimed.

"Well, I may have forgotten to tell our new recruit that her ex boyfriend is basically a member of the hunt too." I said sheepishly.

"WHAT?!" Everyone yelled at me wide-eyed.

Percy POV:

Slowly but surely, the immense pain in my head was turning into a loud throb, a huge drum being beaten against my brain over and over again.

BOOM! 1, 2, 3, 4, BOOM! 1, 2, 3, 4 BOOM!

I kept my eyes closed in the hopes it would make the pain go away, or at least dull it until it was tolerable.

I vaguely wondered why the ground was so soft.

Eventually, after about fifteen minutes Percy guessed, the pain dulled to a low thud every few seconds.

"Awake, young hero." A voice said. It reminded him of the Oracle at camp, only much more ancient.

Crap. Percy thought between thuds, he was fairly certain that he knew who had summoned him.

I had a flashback to a day when I was 12, on a bus. Three old ladies knitting a giant sock; one snipping a blue string of yarn.

"Correct Perseus, now open your eyes and stop thinking dreadful thoughts about us."

Slowly and carefully, I opened my thick, heavy eyelids to reveal three old ladies knitting a scarf. If you count a mile wide and infinities long knitted road leading up to rocking chairs as a scarf.

So that was why the ground was so soft.

I wonder what a kitten would do if it were here, or a bunch of kittens. I wouldn't mind chasing a cat right now - ah stupid ADHD!

I stood up after that, well tried to at least. I nearly fell on my face, insanely dizzy.

"Sit, child. Your fate is going to be hard enough without smacking your head on the ground before you can even learn it." Three voices said at once, creepily enough.

Filled with dread, he did what they asked of him.

It was the least I could do considering my inability to bow.

"My, my." One old lady started.

"My, my indeed." stated another.

"Where shall we begin with this one? his fate is so tangled and knotted up that I can barely make sense of it." The third old lady said.

"We could begin with his role in the pack?" The one holding the scissors, old lady number two said.

"Or we could teach him our names. He keeps referring to us as old lady followed by a number in his brain."

I felt a blush creep onto my face when she said that.

"Yes, good idea, Clotho."

"Indeed, Atropos." Clotho said.

"Oh so I need to introduce myself? I see. I am Lachesis, the Allotter."

"If we are using titles, I am the spinner." Clotho said.

"I am the Unturnable." Atropos stated smugly.

Not how I imagined the Fates at all, honestly.

"We adapt to the times, young one." Clotho stated in that ancient, raspy voice.

"Now, let's get on with things. Where were we, role in the pack?" Atropos asked.

"Yes, that sounds correct." The others replied at the same exact time.

"Wait," Percy started, "My fate? Aren't I supposed to be done with all that junk? This isn't about the next Great Prophecy, is it?"

"No child, that will not happen for centuries. However, you shall never be completely finished with these prophecies of ours. We do like to have our fun." Lachesis said.

"Great." Percy replied sarcastically.

They cackled menacingly.

"We shall begin now." the far left Fate, Atropos stated.

They began simultaneously, as one voice instead of multiple.

"The gods will burn. To Wolf, the world shall turn. Alliances shall be torn and born. New leaders will arise from the old. The seas will be united. One god will save mankind, to the other, all power will bind."

Percy returned to his usual comeback for when something confuses him.

"WHAT?!?"

The fates all looked at each other and smiled wryly.

"To accomplish the task put in front of you, you will have to assume a position of power. It will be easy for you, Alpha." Atropos remarked.

"Alpha what now?" Percy stated, at this point totally lost.

"Alpha of Artemis' Guardians, of course. You'll have to earn it, but after what we show you it won't be an issue."

"What do you mean 'It won't be an issue'?" I asked somewhat sassily.

In response they snapped their fingers.

An image appeared in front of Percy, like an Iris Message only more powerful.

It showed an image that angered him to the very core.

It was his twin sister. She was being beaten by her mate. From the looks of it, he was about to sexually assault her.

A/N: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Its been a while. I write whenever I can, though. Lately I haven't even been finishing HOMEWORK on time, and school comes first. Because of this my straight A's are hurting, and they will come first. Also, please don't tell me when to update. It gets on my nerves and annoys the heck out of me. More on Percy's fate next chapter. After that we'll be getting fluffy, so look out. ;)

Also, yes it is shorter. I am diverting it from its FanFiction version (that I wrote. If you doubt that then go to FanFiction.net and message FallenHuntress26, author of Bitten about it. Kay? It is me. Just read the summary.) so it is a tad bit difficult to write.
