English with Kakashi Hatake, the entire school's favorite teacher. He somehow made the class fun, and yet the students still learned something. He could be strict at times, but he's generally a laid back person.

Usually his class would start off with vocabulary. He'd find a word the night before in the newspaper or in one of his infamous pornographic books and then present it to his class the next day. The students then would have to look up the word either in a dictionary or on their phones and write the definition down in their notebooks.

[Name], one could say that she was excited for this class. She always wanted to have Mr. Hatake as her teacher but never got him. Usually she'd end up with Kurenai Yuhi, who was a mix between an Art and English teacher.

Anyways, [Name] was surprised that she wasn't the first student in class. The person that replaced her as first was none other than Gaara, another one of her best friends. Behind him were his fangirls.

[Name] could practically see the hearts in their eyes as they ogled Gaara. Though the poor fetishized teen was completely oblivious to their love for him, unlike Sasuke - who knew but didn't care.

"Hey Gaara," [Name] greeted, walking up to him. "Mind if I sit here?"

"Hey, um, go right ahead," Gaara replied, pulling out the seat for her.

"Such a gentleman!" Cooed one of the fangirls. "I wish he would do that for me!"

[Name] sat in the pulled out seat, and scooted herself closer to the table. She placed all her stuff - notebook, pre-sharpened pencils, an eraser and sharpener - onto her desk.

Tenten had bounded in with a huge grin on her face. Tenten was probably the weirdest one out of all of [Name's] small circle of best friends, and possibly the only girl too. Tenten had a habit of shipping [Name] and Gaara together for some strange reason.

"Heeey lovebirds!" She squeals, rushing over to sit in the desk in front of the two.

[Name] sighed but greeted her only female best friend. "Hello Tenten."

"Oops, sorry," Tenten apologized. "I did it again, didn't I?"

The two nodded. Neither Gaara nor [Name] cared about being shipped together; well not until [Name] received some backlash from Gaara's most rabid fangirls.

"I can't help it!" Tenten complained, throwing her hands up. "You two would be perfect together!"

Now here comes the explanation we've heard a billion times. [Name] thought, mentally rolling her eyes.

"You're both quiet and smart and just look completely adorable together! And Gaara seems to be the protective, knight in shining armor type, and you'd be his damsel in distress! You like silent strong types, right [Name]? Right?? Oh oh, and if you two did date, I could just imagine you two sitting down next to a fireplace, drinking hot chocolate, and snuggling up next to each other. Soooo cute!!" Tenten sighs dreamily. "Oh and the kids you'll make! I can just imagine the little Gaara and [Name] juniors running around."

Tenten squeals just as the bell rings. Gaara's fangirls all groan but move on to their next class. Sari and Matsuri, the vice president and president of the Gaara fan club stayed behind, since this was their class.

Same as usual, the class began to fill with students. The one peculiar thing was that the teacher hadn't entered yet. Most of the students didn't care about whether the teacher was here or not, they went on into groups and began talking to one another as if they weren't in class. Five minutes pass, and the teacher still wasn't there.

"Where do you think he is?" Tenten turns around from her seat to ask this question to [Name], who in return just shrugs her shoulders.

Another five minutes pass, and the door suddenly opens, and in comes a man wearing a mask. He casually reads a tiny book and walks to his desk, like he wasn't late at all.

"Get in your seats class," Mr. Hatake said, not looking up from his book. Everyone scurried to their chairs like little mice. "The word for today is, abjure. Please right this in your journals."

The students opened their notebooks to the first page and scribbled down the word. It was weird. Kakashi Hatake was late by ten minutes and yet no one questioned him, nor did they dilly-dally when he told them to enter their seats. Somehow, the class already knew the routine since they were grabbing dictionaries from the shelf in the back and looking up the word.

"Can someone give the definition please?" the teacher looked up from his book finally and scanned the class for any hands raised. Not a single student had their hands up, for they were still looking for the word in the dictionary. Kakashi sighs, and just selected a random student.

"How about you, the one next to the red head," he says, pointing to [Name]. The girl hesitated, her breath caught in her throat. She wished he hadn't called on her, but knew she was the only one sitting next to a red head.

"Oh, um. Well the prefix ab means away in Latin and the Latin root of jure is jurare which means swear. And from previous knowledge, I'd have to say that abjure means to do away with a belief or claim," she answers, her heart beating a million beats per minute. [Name] wanted to impress her teacher since he's been praised as the best in the school. Under the table, her fingers were crossed while she prayed on her usually shitty luck that she was right.

"Very good. Now, what's your name?" he asked, sincerely amazed by her. She let's out the breath she's been holding in, completely relieved that she was correct.

"It's [Name] [Last Name], sir."

"Well [Name], I already like you."

[Name] could feel a smile begin to creep on her face. A feeling of self gratification bubbled in the pit of her stomach as she wrote the definition down in her journal. More often than not she impressed her teachers, but somehow this was different. Maybe it was because she honestly liked Mr. Hatake.

Gaara leaned over and whispered, "Nice job."

"Thanks," [Name] whispers back.

The girl already knew that she would enjoy this class.
