It was five minutes before English, and the end of the day was coming up fast. [Name] had to see Tenten. So when she spotted her best female friend walking down the hall, she walked quickly towards her, grabbed her shoulder and dragged her into the girls' bathroom.

"Eh? [Name]? What is the meaning of this?" Tenten asked, once she was no longer baffled by the actions that just occurred.

"Gaara! He actually likes me and I need your help to make my decision. Should I, or should I not date Gaara?" [Name] asked nervously. She held onto Tenten's shoulders, squeezing them for dramatic effect.

Tenten had a stone face. "Are you fucking serious?" Her voice rings out in a uncharacteristic monotone. "I've been shipping you two since the day you met and you dare ask me if I want you to date him? Are you actually serious?! This has to be a joke!"

"Well, I didn't think you were serious," [Name] replies in a small voice. "I mean yeah you've been shipping us but..."

"But nothing!! Of course you two should be dating! Date already damn it!!"

Tenten grabbed [Name] by her uniform and shook her wildly. The girl was taken aback by this sudden outburst of aggression.

"You're being a little extreme, don't you think?" She asks, stopping Tenten from shaking her head off.

"You asked me for advice, and I supplied it. Take it or leave it!"

[Name] smiled slightly. "Thanks Tenten."

She hadn't reached her final decision yet. She needed another girl's advice, someone who was an expert at love. The two exit the bathroom, walking to their class. The teacher was always five to ten minutes late, so [Name] had time to consult another female acquaintance.

Gaara was sitting in his seat staring out the window while his fan girls fawn over him. [Name] moved to the back of the room to where Sakura sat.

"Excuse me, Sakura," she starts off. "I need some advice."

"About what?" She inquired, her jade colored eyes shifted to [Name].

"About dating," [Name] states shyly. The arches on Sakura's mouth turn upwards as [Name] continues to speak. "You know Gaara right?"

"The red haired cutie?" Her eyes shift to the front of the room to take a glance at said boy. "Of course I do."

"Well he said he likes me and he wants to date me," she says, her voice becoming smaller and smaller. "Should I date him or not?"

"You totally should," she gushes. "A silent giant protecting his little damsel. How cute. I mean, you two would be perfect together. If you like Gaara and Gaara clearly likes you, then take the chance. Even if it doesn't work out, at least you'd have the experience of dating under your belt."

[Name] listened to her words carefully, letting them soak in. But a question that stuck to her mind was, did she like Gaara the same way he liked her?

"Thanks Sakura," [Name] says, pondering the question.

"No problem."

The girl returned to her seat next to Gaara. She looked at him, and her heart beat abnormally. She wanted to touch him, feel the sensation of soft skin under her fingertips.

Wait, why do I want to touch him? She questioned her self; however she couldn't stop her hand from inching over to touch his hand. Their pinkies crossed over each other, then their fingers began to slowly intertwine.

She noticed that his cheeks had turned a light pink, and thought it was cute. It was when she heard the growl of his fan girls that she pulled her hand away, much to Gaara's disappointment. To her surprise, his hands were soft though she imagined his hands to be callused and rough.

Affection grew in the pit of her heart, wrapping itself around the erratically beating organ. Her fondness for him began to sprout into something more, something that felt dangerous yet exciting. A possessiveness snatched at her thoughts — she wanted him to be hers and wanted to be his. She found herself falling for him, and hard.

[Name] snapped out of her warm feelings for Gaara and pulled herself back into reality. The teacher had finally showed up after nine minutes of being late.

"The word for today is devotion," Mr. Hatake announced as he strolled in casually. "Once you get the definition down into your notebook, I would like for you to all to write about your favorite weather in any form you choose. It could be a poem, a narrative, words that describe it, anything."

The class continued on in silence, the students writing in their journals and the teacher reading his book. [Name] wrote about the rain, and then wrote another passage about the snow. Gaara, who grew up in a sunnier region, wrote about the sun and how much he missed it.

When the bell rung, the students gathered their things and exit the room. Gaara took purposeful long strides to catch up with the fast paced girl he admired so much. Casually, he interlaced their fingers, blushing while he did. She looked up at him and smiled.

Gaara clears his throat, looking away from her. "Mind if I walk you to your next class?"

"I don't mind at all."
