"Gaara! What the actual hell!" [Name] yells as she views herself in the bathroom mirror. She seen all the hickeys he had left across her delicate skin from the night before and sighs.

This is probably why my father always told me to stay away from boys. She thinks to herself as she touches the bruises on her neck.

Gaara enters the bathroom to see what she is complaining about. He takes one look at all the purplish spots on her neck and smiles.

"Those are love bites," he says. "I marked you as mine."

She let's out a small breath and turns to her boyfriend who is leaning against the door frame. She takes one look at his smug face and rolls her eyes.

"I appreciate the gesture but my dad is coming over tomorrow."

"Do I get to meet him or-"

"No!" She interjects. "Hell no."

"What? Why?" He asks, startled from her outburst.

"I'm allowed to have female friends over, but not male friends, and since you're my boyfriend, he'll freak out," she says.

[Name] points to her hickeys. "So this needs to disappear."

"Use makeup."

She peers back into the mirror and grazes one of her love bites.

"I guess I could look up some makeup tutorials," she says after an exhausted sigh.

"See, you figured it out," Gaara says while patting her shoulder.

He leaves his girlfriend in the bathroom and heads toward the kitchen to raid her fridge for anything good. [Name] has to tear herself away from the mirror to stop obsessing over these things Gaara calls "love bites".

She looks toward the kitchen to see that Gaara got his hands on one of many pies that she takes from her job. This one happens to be a cinnamon apple pie, and a fourth of it is already missing.

"So why is your father coming over anyway?" Gaara asks before shoveling a piece of pie in his mouth.

"Well, I knit and my parents owns a store called Knit Knacks," [Name] explains. "He comes over to pick up the items I've knitted for the week."

Gaara nods and swallows his food before speaking again. "So, you guys sell knitted items?"

"My mother also makes ceramic doodads and my father paints. So my creative pieces aren't the only things being sold there."

"You think I can get something for free?" Gaara asks with a smile.

With a straight face, [Name] says, "Hell no."

...

That Sunday morning, [Name] rips herself from bed and stretches out some sore muscles. She enters her closet and pulls out a box filled with knitted scarves, hats, mittens and socks.

[Name] realizes that her inventory is surprisingly low this week and mentally promises to focus on knitting this following week.

She carries the box to her door and places it down behind the couch, where Gaara is lying down and staring at his phone.

"Morning," he says to his girlfriend, but doesn't tear his eyes away from his device. She grunts and runs her hand through her hair.

Gaara hears his girlfriend walk away and assumes she's readying herself for the day — which she is.
