ROSE POV
We left the Alchemist facility. We got to Court around four am. I was greeted by Jill, Lissa, and Christian. Dmitri stood off to the side. When Lissa noticed him, she walked over to him. That was when I noticed that dad was beside Dmitri. Whatever those three were planning, it was not going to be good. I began to walk over there. Lissa broke away from the group.
"What was that about?" I demanded.
"Our trip," Dmitri said.
"To where?"
"Our house."
"You should expect a young lady there," dad said.
"Why?" I asked.
"Because you are going to need help."
"I can manage just fine!"
"Roza, yo tebya lluyv!" Dmitri said.
"De verdad? You know how weak I am when you say that to me in Russian!"
"Lets go. You need to rest."
"As long as you will tell me what's going on."
"As soon as Lissa tells me to let you know," Dmitri said in a calm way.
"Of course!" I grumbled.
We went to our housing to find a young lady laying down on the couch. She had a blanket on. It appeared that she was really tired. The girl had pale skin. She was pretty long. Sandy brown hair. She was using a blanket from the hallway closet. I went and checked on the kids. They weren't there! They were not in their beds asleep. I began to freak out. That was when I heard a voice say, "Princess Dragomir took the children. I tried to stop her...but she was persistent."
Turning around I saw the girl who was just laying on our couch. She was standing behind me. "Who are you?" I questioned.
"Sorry. I am Clarkson, Abby Clarkson."
"I am Rose Belikov."
"Yes your father hired me to help you out since you'd be taking time off very soon."
"Not till the twins are here. I will-"
"Roza?" Dmitri asked.
"In D.A.'s room talking to Ms. Abby Clarkson."
"Lissa sent me to come get you."
"Why?"
"We are going with her to somewhere."
"Is Christian going?"
"No. Just you, Lissa, and me. Oh yeah and your father!"
"What?"
"Sorry."
"Uh."
Dmitri told me to pack for four months. So that's what I did. I packed for four months. He grabbed a couple of western books of the self and grabbed our suitcases. Just as I got home, Lissa was ordering me to leave. I wanted rest. I needed to ask Lissa for a vacation. I got in a SUV with Dmitri and dad. Dad sat up front while I laid my head on Dmitri. We reached the airport around six. There was Lissa standing by her royal jet and a few royal guardians like me. The only way you could tell if a regular from a royal guardian is that we wore a red button on our shirts. The red button shirts showed that you guarded the queen.
"Lissa, where's your stuff?" I asked.
"I am not going," she puffed...in a funny way. "I am simply going home to get sleep. My husband's waiting for me."
"Why is it just us three?"
"They have been told not to tell you a thing until one hour in the air."
"Seriously?"
"Yes. Seriously. It is for the best Rose. If we tell you now, than you will refuse to go."
LISSA POV
I had went back to Court once the airplane had took off. As soon as I got back to court, I received a text message from Dmitri.
Dmitri
Am I allowed to tell her now?
Me
Is she bugging you about it?
Dmitri
Yes. She's interrogating everyone.
Me
That sounds like Rose.
Dmitri
Please Lissa. I will go insane if she keeps this up. Abe has already said he would jump out of the plane if she keeps this up.
Me
Fine. You have my permission. Tell her.
Dmitri
Thank you Lissa.
Me
Your welcome.I received no text from Dimitri after that. I received one from Rose:
Rose
You are dead meat! How dare you do this to me Lissa?
I made it rule a few years ago that a guardian should be able to have complete contact with the Moroi that they are guarding. So now guardians were allowed cell phones. I got back into my bed and laid down. Christian rolled over giving me a hug. I turned so that I faced him.
"Yes?" I questioned.
"Why did you leave Court without me?" Christian asked.
"Because that was the only way I was to get Rose out of Court."
"She probably hates you right now."
"She'll get over it."
"Yeah. Um speaking of getting over stuff. Do you forgive me?"
"For?"
"You know."
"Yes. It was a mistake Christian. Plus I am too much in love with you to be mad."
"I'm glad we understand each other."
"Me, too."
"So where are you sending Rose, Dmitri, and Abe?"
"To be with both of their families."
"Siberia?"
"No. Somewhere away from Strigoi. A place where its always sunshine."
"The sunshine state has Strigoi roaming it."
"About 300 miles of the coast of California."
DMITRI POV
I sat down on the plane. Abe went and laid down. When he woke up, we had landed. Rose had refused to sleep. She was sleepy when we landed, though. I carried her off of the plane. Abe grabbed our luggage. We saw a jaguar pulled up in front of the airport. It was cool, but then Abe nodded to the left. I saw a limousine. Apparently, this is what he was contributing to our honeymoon. I guess he was also contributing money for us to stay here in Hawaii. A place where Strigoi could barely roam. It was hot during day and night. Sunny, a lot. Something Strigoi can not stand. That is why we were in a sunny state. Abe climbed in the limousine and took Rose away from me. I climbed in and took her back. That was when she woke up.
"Where are we?" Rose asked.
"On our honeymoon," I replied.
"We have to guard Lissa and Christian. We, also, have children to take care of!"
"Calm down Rosemarie," Abe said. She glared at him because she hated being called Rosemarie. I was the only one who could call her that and get away with it. "Abby Clarkson is not only going to help keep your house clean, but she will watch the children. Plus, I have gotten some of Dmitri's siblings to comply. Janine will be here in four months to help you deliver your twins."
"How Lord Szelskey won't let her. Both previous times that I've given birth, Lord Szelskey was arrogant about coming back to Court. It was all because mom wanted to see her new grandchildren.""We found out that Lord Szelskey has a meeting here in four months. It'd be just a coincidence when Janine gets a phone call saying that your in labor here in Hawaii," I explained.
"You guys did this to help mom get to me when the twins are due....didn't you?"
"Yes."
"Thank you dad. Thank you Dmitri!"
Rose threw a hug around Abe and then around me. She planted a soft kiss on my lips. Then we broke away and she laid her head against me.
