Chapter 12

EDDIE POV

I got up and went to the main gates. Queen Dragomir had told me that she wanted me to escort Dimitri, Rose, their twins, and a Dhampir to Rose and Dimitri's house. Adrian decided to come with me since he thought that his sister-in-law would hate walking around without him. Jesse Rayburn walked up to me. He's a moroi who annoys the hell out of me.
"Good morning, Guardian Castile." Jesse said. "Good morning Lord Ivashkov. What are you, two, doing here... at the main gate?"
"I am waiting for my sister-in-law, Jesse. Now what do you want?" Adrian asked. "You possibly couldn't be waiting for your fiancé, could you?"
"She's not to arrive for another few days."
"Well, here they come." I said.
There were four black SUVs. The first one had three guardians. The second one had Rose, Dimitri, their newborns, Abe, and Janine. The third one had a Moroi guy and a human girl with a couple more guardians. Dimitri grabbed a wheelchair out of the back of the SUV. Rose sat down in it with attitude. She did not want to be wheeled around Court. Janine and Abe grabbed the twins. The Moroi guy came forward and began pushing Rose. The human girl just stood there.
"Z!" Jesse yelled.
"J!" The girl yelled back, running towards Jesse. They kissed and then broke away. "I didn't know you were living here!"
"You said you would be here exactly one week from the day of our wedding."
"I have some news for you. So I lied."
"Adrian, meet my fiancé Zoey-" Jesse said.
"I know who she is. She's my sister-in-law​," Adrian said.
     After helping Rose and Dimitri-and their newborns- out....I headed home. Jill ran up to me. She told me the good news. I was so happy. She said that Vasilissa and Sydney already knew. Even though Vasilissa was Jill's half sister, Jill considered Sydney a half sister, too. I think it was those months in Palm Springs that not only changed Sydney, but also changed Jill, too.
Zoey wasn't that much up to change. She didn't want to like Moroi and Dhampir. From what I am guessing, Zoey got used to a Moroi being her brother-in-law and dealt with it. I also believe that she got used to having Dhampir nieces and nephews.
      Two days later, I escorted Rose, Dimitri, their twins, and the other Moroi to their house. Then I went to my own house and found Jill talking to Zoey. Her and Zoey became like best friends. Jill understood Zoey's situation. Understanding how alchemist don't like Moroi and Dhampirs was something ​hard to understand. Yet, somehow, Zoey could stand being around Jesse Rayburn, Jill, and Adrian.
ZOEY POV
"So you fell for Jesse Rayburn?" Jill asked.
"Yes," I replied.
"You know who is father is right?"
"Does it matter?"
"He's a r-o-y-a-l. But Jesse Rayburn is an illegimate one."
"Really?"
"Illegimate royal... just like Dimitri and I. Though the Queen has declared that an illegimate royal is a royal."
"Who's his father?"
"You really wanna know?"
"Yes."
"His father...his father is...Lord Zeklos."

   Later that day, I met with my fiancé. We talked about our wedding for a while. Then I stopped by a fountain and said, "Whose your father?"
"I don't know," Jesse lied. "I never met him. He abandoned my mom when she conceived me."
"Zeklos."
"What?"
"Jesse, don't lie to me. You know who your father is and your keeping it a secret! Your a fucking roy-"
"Shh! No one knows beside my father, mother, Queen Vasilissa, Guardian Dimitri Belikov, and Lady Dragomir...She told you! Didn't she?"
"I want to meet him. I won't tell anyone."
"I'll have to talk to him Zoey. He wants me at a conference with him in a couple hours. So that's when I'll talk to him."
"Thank you."
"Anything for you love!"
We kissed and then he left to go to see his father. I had heard a lot about Jesse Zeklos. Rose Belikov told me about when she was a Hathaway, how Mia Renolds had told Jesse Zeklos-and this other royal-to spread a rumor about how Rose was a blood whore. Rose was seventeen at the time and Lord Zeklos was like forty. Mia Renolds was the girlfriend at the time and she was jealous that Rose was hitting on her boyfriend. I knew that Lord Zeklos could be lethal. Two hours later, there was a knock on my door. I went and answered it...Only to see a man I'd been wanting to meet.
