Chapter 2

DMITRI POV
      I pulled Rose out of the living room and into our room. She was shocked when I shut and locked the door. Rose walked over to the bed. She sat down and I sat beside her. We began to kiss. Rose pulled away before we got to excited.

"Dmitri, what the hell?" Rose asked. Clearly she was still mad.
"Roza, please forgive me!" I begged. "I wasn't seeing it until your mother gave me a motherly view on the situation."
"What did she tell you?"
"How a mother feels about her children. Everything. I never really saw it these past six years. I understand it now and after that I went to Mrs. Tanner."
"What did you tell her?"
"I told her that our children are never to be experimented on again. I made it perfectly clear. I think Sonya was-" before I could finish the sentence, Rose pulled my lips into hers. We began kissing harshly again. I could take on anything. I had no weaknesses. That was until I met Rose. When I became her mentor, at St. Vladimir's Academy, I had fallen for Rose. I did not want to admit it until I saved her life. Viktor Dashkov had talked his daughter, Natalie Dashkov, into becoming a Strigoi. Natalie had almost killed Rose. I showed up right in time and saved her life. Then right after that happened Rose and I actually slept together. I loved every minute of it.
"Dmitri, we should get out to the dining room," Rose said breaking the kiss.
"Oh yeah, I told the kids that I would tell them the very story of how became Strigoi and was turned back into a dhampir," I said.
"Aren't they too young for that?"
"Maybe, but D.A. persisted."
"As long as I get to put my view in it."
"Of course."
"I forgive you, Dmitri."
Janine had dinner done. Rose and I walled out and sat in the dining room. D.A. and Janine sat on my left, while Rose and J.V. sat on my right.
"Daddy!" J.V. said.
"Yes," I replied. "Don't worry I didn't forget about my promise."
"D.A. said you would!"
"I will tell you after we eat."

CHRISTIAN POV

I walked into the children's room. I watched as Eric and Andre showed Rhea what to do. It was amazing. Just as I went to pick up my little princess, Jill came up to me.
"Dada, it Auntie Jill!" exclaimed Rhea.
"Oh hi Jill," I said.
"Christian, I need to speak to you privately."
I followed Jill out into the corridor. When we were safe enough for the ears not to be able to hear us I asked, "So what is it Jill?"
"I didn't want to get the kids all wound up. Its Lissa." Jill replied.
"What's wrong? Is she okay?"
"She's in labor."
"Where is she?"
"In the royal chambers. Dmitri and Rose are there, Christian. Lissa refuses to let the baby come until your there."
