Adam laid in bed as his head wouldn't stop pounding. He had a long day at training and was too tired to deal with this headache, but the pain was just unbearable today. He groaned and sat back up to take some medicine and drink water. His headache hadn't fully gone away, but the pain had eased a bit. So he decided to take a walk and clear his mind.

Besides it's late at night and no one would be up. Adam wore his sweatshirt and walked towards the beach area. He could smell the ocean water which calmed him.

As he got closer and closer to the beach in the distant he saw a figure sitting on the bench staring far into the ocean. He saw her eyes were closed but he immediately recognized who it was.

"Sofia?"

Sofia opened her eyes and turned towards the voice.

As soon as Adam saw her face he knew something was wrong. Her eyes were swollen, but still managed to give him a small smile. Adam walked towards the bench and sat down next to her.

"Are you okay?" he asked her. Sofia looked at him again and saw the concern that was imprinted on his eyes. She looked down onto the sand and shook her head not being able to face him any longer.

Adam wanted nothing more than to hold her in his arms when he saw how sad she was. But he knew there were boundaries between them and didn't want to upset her further.

Silence came over them, but it was peaceful. It let Adam become lost in his worries concerning Sofia and Sofia was lost in the pain of her broken soul. Sofia was glad that Adam hadn't pushed her further. She needed comfort and at this moment his presence was enough comfort for her.

Adam looked at Sofia as she sighed heavily. It bothered him seeing her like that so without thinking his hand moved towards her and held her small, warm hand in his. She glanced at him and Adam gave her a reassuring smile. She instantly felt like she could trust him.

They sat there for a few more minutes before Sofia got up "thank you for seating here with me" she said without looking at him.

"No problem" Adam said softly.

"It's late why don't I walk you back to your room" Adam said getting up from the bench.

"Yeah thanks that would be great" she answered still not meeting his eyes. She didn't want him to look at her like this.

So they walked side by side in the quite night. No words being spoken just the sound of the crickets chirping in the air. The silence was a good thing because neither of them didn't know what to say.

When they reached her door Sofia bid Adam farewell and began walking to her room, but quickly turned around again. She wanted to say something to him, but no words were coming out her mouth.

Adam stared at Sofia as he saw her struggling to form the words she was trying to say so he walked up to her and gently squeezed her arm.

"Hey it's okay you don't have to explain anything to me."

Sofia sighed and looked at Adam's face again and this time gave him a genuine smile.

Adam let her go, his eyes watching to make she safely walked to her room.

He soon walked back to his own room and slumped into bed. All he wanted to do was get some sleep, but the image of Sofia's tear strained face haunted him the rest of the night.
