Today was Mission Day. Well that's what everybody here called it anyway. Once every month all the nurses and doctors would go out to the local villages and give people free medication and check ups. The clinic was set up for those who were living in poverty and didn't have access to healthcare or couldn't afford to go to the doctors. Sofia always looked forward to this day because she loved meeting the local people. Everyone was always so nice and kind to them.

"Sofia hurry up were getting late!" Bea shouted as she ran out of the room. Sofia quickly looked around the room to see if she had left anything and then grabbed her bag as she jogged out to catch up with Bea and the rest of the girls.

The doctors and nurses were all getting into the big trucks that would take to the clinic. Of course the soldiers were coming also. As Sofia sat down and began talking to Faith and few other girls she felt a jab on her stomach. Annoyed she looked up at Bea who was smirking down at her. "Ow why did you do that for?" she asked rubbing her stomach. Bea's smirk became wider "look who is coming along this year?" she said nodding her head to the truck behind them.

Sofia saw Adam and Sam sitting in the truck looking down on a map and discussing something. Although Adam hadn't seen her she smiled and faced Bea again. "I didn't know Sam was coming" she said teasing her friend. Bea blushed and playfully punched Sofia on her shoulder as Sofia began talking to the other girls again.

Bea loved seeing the way Sofia was when she is around Adam. She was happy for Sophia and prayed for her friend to always be like that. If Adam was going to be the one to keep her happy then she hoped everything between them would work out. For the last couple of days Bea had been getting this bad feeling in the pit of her stoamch and for some reason she couldn't shake it off. But instead she ignored the feeling and joined in the coversation with Sofia and her other friends.

Adam was standing near the entrance talking to a solider whne he heard a familiar laugh behind him. He quickly turned around and saw the eaxct person he was hoping to see, Sofia. He saw how she patted the head of one of the local kids as the little girl gave her a flower. Seeing Sofia laugh brought a smile upon his face. She had been continuously on his mind the last couple days and every time he decided to go see her Adam backed down or something came up.

Suddenly, there was loud explosion and the next thing Adam knew he was on the ground coughing. Smoke was everywhere and around him were either coughing or goraning in pain. As he slowly sat up his eyes began searching for one person. He finally saw her sitting up and coughing as well. Adam quickly ran towards Sofia and helped her up.

"Are you okay?" he asked. Sofia nodded her head and looked around. She let go of Adam started helping the children. Adam did the same untitl they were able to find the crying children parents and reunite them.

In that moment Sam came running towards Adam "it's the Taliban we have to go now." Adam nodded his head and turned to Sofia "find your friends and let's go."

Sofia's heart was racing against her chest as she helped Faith and a few other girls up. But she couldn't find Bea anywhere. Fear clunched her heart and tears were threatening to fall.

"Bea where are you?!" Sofia started to shout. On the other side of the room Sam began to wonder the samething as Sofia. As he was helping someone get out of the rubble he heard a small painful groan. He hurriedly ran towards the sound and Bea laying there. "She's here" Sam yelled and quickly Sofia rushed towards them with Adam behind her.

As Sofia crouched down next to Bea she wanted to vomit. The deep wound on her stomach was horrible. Sam was already applying pressure to stop the pressure when Sofia took over. "Oh Bea you're going to be okay" Sofia said trying to stop the bleeding as her heart continued to hammer against her chest and quietly prayed for Bea to get better.

Suddenly the noise of bullets being fired became closer as everyone realized they didn't have much time. It was time for them to leave.

For some reason the first draft I had for this chapter didn't save so I had to rewrite it. I'm pissed though because the first one was way better. But still I hope you enjoyed this chapter.
