Scarlet
After catching up on missed family business, the both of us made it back to the mansion. Nick, well my dad had given me word that Xander wanted to meet me in his office. When I first heard this, I was surprised that he would get up at four in the morning but then again, I haven't slept in a while either.
Wandering through the quiet and calm corridors, I lead myself to the double wooden doors of the gang bosses office. I stop in front of the intimidating large doors and give a soft knock on the wooden. I heard a movement of a chair scrapping against the marble floor and a pair of feet shuffling closer to the set of doors. One of the doors, opened revealing a tired and worn out looking Xander.
His looks consisted of bags under his eyes, with some small amounts of stubble appearing on his face. When his ice blue eyes were set upon me, his smile had shown and his eyes had warmed up to me. He presses his warm red lips onto my fore head and gestures me inside.
"Wow no good morning?" I tease to him while plopping down onto the same chair I had sat in a couple weeks ago.
"Oh so you don't want this instead?" He asks, his warm breath behind me sending chills down my spine. Then he presses his lips to the top of my head. My heart fluttered from every single touch he gave me. Even though my body craves his touch, I gently swat him away since we needed to get down to business.
"Xander we will do this later." I reassure him as he fake pouts. He lightly chuckles while he makes his around his desk to his seat. "So what is it that you called me in here for?" I ask lightly with curiosity.
"Aw that kinda hurts." He jokes around while faking some tears. "What did you not want to spend some time with me?"
I give him a questionable look while he is sitting there doing his trademark smirk as he leaning back into his leather chair. His arms were crossed while he stared me down with those playful eyes of his.
"Alexander!" I scold even though I couldn't contain the wide and joyful smile spreading across my lips. "Don't beat around the bush goddamnit." I giggle at his attempt to try and irritate me.
"Okay fine. I'll stop being a dumb ass but I actually did need to talk to you about something." He straightens up his tone and posture in his comfy leather chair. "Did Nick tell you everything?" He asks softly. He knew this way a very touchy topic for me so he tried to be gentle with the subject.
I nodded my head, speechless. "You mentioned us being childhood friends?" I ask, sounding weak.
He relaxes back into his chair and looks up at the high ceiling. "My mother and your parents were great friends. Teresa was also a great friend of theirs also so we usually saw each other a lot. Back then, Jonathan was busy handing the gang over to my mother since he wanted to start his own mercenary agency." My eyes fell to the floor but I quickly recovered. Xander's eyes softened and he reached out to hold my hand comfortingly across his desk. "We were friends until, you were taken from us." He said in a short clipped tone.
"I don't even remember what happened." I say uncomfortably while messed with the hem of my shirt.
"Look I wanna show you something." He quickly changed the subject while urgently getting up from his leather seat.
The both of us walked From out of the office all the way to our hallway of our rooms. Xander kept striding all the way to the farthest room that he forbade me to ever enter.
I stood behind him while he hesitated to open to the set of doors in front of him. They were painted a dark brown and stood tall to intimidate anyone from entering. I hear him take in a large breath before he pushed open the door in front of him.
As I took my small steps inside, I took in my surroundings ahead. The room was huge with a big open space. There was a ceiling to floor length window that showed the early morning grey light that illuminated the room. A large coal black coffin stood near the window, alone in this humongous room.
My mouth was slightly hanging open at the sight. A dead body was just a few feet from me. It's weird since I should already be used to it but, it seems so out of the ordinary.
"Now before you say anything, there isn't a body in there." He stated seriously.
"Who is the coffin for?" I ask, with my voice sounding like a small child.
"This is Katerina White, also know as my mother. She had died due to the hands of Jonathan, her beloved husband." Xander spits bitterly.
My eyes were fueled with anger. This man has taken so many lives of many innocents. If anything, he needs a taste of his own misery.
"I usually come here to remember the reason why she is dead and what I have to always keep in my mind. I can't trust anyone like she did because that's how she ended up dead. Yet, when you came into my life, I just ended up failing, hard and fast." He turned to face me with his eyes showing a light layer of water. Those blue orbs started to glisten when the light reflected off of them. "Scarlet, when you're not here I feel, alone and weak. Will you be my girlfriend?" He nervously exhaled.
I nodded my head and also cleared my throat. We just hung out together and gazed upon the open sky through the window.

Now spring break is coming up but I don't think I will be releasing chapters every other day like I usually do for breaks. I'm sorry guys but I'm going on a cruise and will be in the middle of the ocean. So you guys might get a longer chapter before Tuesday.
