   Scarlet

   A couple days later

Xander and I were at the same mall that Johnathon had shot down earlier in the month. The both of us had been pretty close lately and it felt normal and safe however, I needed to make a change to have everyone safe. He had bought me a new necklace and matching bracelet to go with it. At first I was skeptical to even wear anything he gave me but he insisted that I wear it to keep a part of him.

We were both calmly walking about the mall, hand in hand with no worries at all. The both of us were on our way to the food court to go have lunch.

Xander spotted an opened table and lead me to it.

"Babe I'm gong to get us some food. I'll be right back." He smiled comfortably with the new nickname rolling off his tongue at ease.

"Alright I just have to use the bathrooms first." I responded back.

Babe? He had always referred to me as Scarlet but I think I like this new name that I have. I smiled to myself at the thought while walking to the ladies room. I was just about to the turn he corner when I felt a hand on my mouth with a cloth and a bulky large arm encasing me from flailing my arms around. I couldn't even scream for help since the the drugs infused with the cloth had made my eyes heavy.

************

My eyes started to flutter open with also a searing pain on my wrists. My silver and gold bracelet hung low all the way to part of my forearm. I had been stripped into nothing but a black camisole and the black spandex I had under my clothing. Scanning everything around me, I realize that I am in the same room that I had killed the family of three.

Breathing in air had become difficult and the pulse of my heart started to race. All the muscles in my body started to tense up from all the horrid memories I've had. I might've been breaking down internally but on the outside, I was maintaining my composure.

A loud creeping of a door opening echoed through the barren walls of the empty cellar. Foot steps smacked against the floor when a silhouette came into my view.

"Welcome home daughter dearest." Johnathon smiled wickedly. He was standing in front of me with his face written in satisfaction and his arms crossed.

My head was bent low, staring at the ground in front of him instead of meeting the eyes of the devil. I was fought to keep my lips locked tight, not bothering to let any words slip from it.

The monster shuffled towards me and lifted my head up roughly with my hair. My neck had a blazing pain from the roughness of the grab.

"Look at me when I talk to you. I raised you better than that but you decided to be a little whore and run away from me. You started messing around with Alexander and made yourself a slut. Tell me Scarlet, how does it feel to be a betrayer?" He griped

"How does it feel to kill your own brother?" He seethed with dripping venom. That hit very close to my heart. It was a wound never to be touched by anyone yet this man in front of me had carelessly brought it up as if it were a normal dinner conversation.

"How does it feel to kill your own son?" I whisper, reminding myself of Donovan.

Johnathon screeches in laughter. "You are so stupid aren't you? You practically killed him my dear daughter but you know what? I'm going to punish you for being disobedient." He instructed as if I were a dog.
