01. STAINED WITH BLOOD
is it bad that i still remember the first time i saw you?
i have a feeling you've already forgotten it, or at least some parts of it. i remember everything.
from the fluorescent lighting of the emergency room and how it made you look so ethereal, to the dark blood dripping from your nose and down your lips. you beamed this innocent, pure smile when our eyes met. i didn't have the heart to tell you that your teeth were stained with blood.
but i still thought you were beautiful, inside and out. i'd never seen anyone smile at me in spite of a nose bleed, especially a nose bleed like the ones that you get.
i didn't even ask how it happened. i'm sorry.
