I Can't Breathe

I can't breathe, I can't breathe,
what are they telling me?

I don't know what they are saying, screaming, tears run down their cheeks,

I can't breathe, I can't breathe,
what is happening to me?

I can hear their quiet voices,
I can hear the melody,

but I don't understand.

What are they telling me?

Their faces drip with terror,
their fingers grab at me,

but I don't understand.
What are they telling me?

Pills and razors hit the floor the moment they realize

they should have worried when they saw the strange look in my eyes.

Knives and blades and empty bottles hidden in my room,

scars and stains and memories all labeled as my doom.

Feeling tired, mind expired,
from this medication,

they're always weeping by my side,
what perfect dedication!

I screamed and kicked and bit and cried,
the day they locked me up.

Wishing I had not survived
the landing of my jump.

I can't breathe, I can't breathe,
I never will be free.

Help me, please, I'm desperate!
What are they telling me?
