They ran toward the river, their flip flops slapping against their heels and the dirt. Their trunks traveling too high before they could even pull them down but they didn't care. It wasn't like they haven't seen each other in their underwear.

Tyler tripped and splashed in, whining that he couldn't attempt to dive because he fell in. "Joooooooshhh!"

"Tyyyyylerrrrrrr" Josh giggled, imitating him. Tyler pouted, his hair slightly wet as he shivered.

"Josh it's too cold."

"That's the best part!" Josh jumped in, the water from his cannonball hitting Tyler on the side of the face. Tyler swam over to him, hitting the cold clear water so it would splash him.

They played in the river for quite some time, then discussed the next few things they'd do.

"Maybe we can go hiking! I always wanted to go exploring- well- I have gone exploring.. But not exactly with anyone other than... I mean- Josh go hiking with me." Tyler rambled. Josh giggled and pulled him close.

"It's okay Tyler, I'll go hiking with you. There's a great trail not too far from here." Josh smiled, warming Tyler up right away. Tyler started at his reflection. He was smiling. Smiling so big right now.

"Ty, let's go back and change." Josh yelled back at him. He was so dazed in his huge smile, he hasn't smiled this big in a while. He rushed out of the river and ran after Josh, laughing and grabbing his hand.

They changed and stumbled out of the tent, both tripping on their flip flops they left outside.

Josh grabbed a snapback and put it on, looking around for Tyler. Tyler ran around him, jumping excitedly.

"I've always wanted to go hiking!! Well. Not alone." He tugged on Josh's arm, rushing for him to hurry up. Tyler was like a child, super excited for something until it actually happens.

20 minutes into walking and Tyler was complaining. "Josh i'm tiredddd.... Can you carry me??..... JOSHHH THE LEAF MOVED.... Josh let's go back!!!"

"Tyler, it's barely been 30 minutes, stop complaining." He pulled out a water bottle and took a sip, looking behind him to see a tired looking Tyler. "You did sports in high school." Josh giggled.

"It was only basket ball and that was years ago. My body is retired." Tyler retorted. Josh laughed at Tyler and tossed him a water bottle.

They continued walking for another few minutes before Tyler stopped and sat down on a rock.

"Josh. I'm not moving."

"Yes you are." Josh pulled Tyler up and kissed his cheek. "You'll start moving if you want it know my surprise for you later."

"More like my surprise for you." Tyler mumbled. Josh hummed and held his hand tightly.

"Let's go." Josh gently pulled on the fragile boy's hand.

"Fine..." Tyler smirked. He knew what he wanted to do as soon as they got back in the tent.
