Chapter 6-Learnign something that was a secret

"He's been gone for a very long time" Bilbo said as we were surrounded by the fire, well all except Fili and Kili who were taking care of the ponies, oh and Thorin who was on his own pondering....

"He's a wizard, He does what he chooses, here" Bofur said taking a pause as he handed my father two bowls "Take these to the lads" So my father went into the forest while Bofur tried to stop Bombur from having more soup.

"Well who else is going to have it?" Bombur said

"Well, the wee lass might want some she's only had half a bowl." Bofur said, the dwarfs turned to me.

"Oh....no I'm fine, Bombur you go ahead." I said, Bombur then had a little frown on his face

"You sure lass?" He said

"Yes I'm fine..." I said, Bombur then waddled over to me and took my bowl off of me and went to the pot an filled it up then walked it back to me and pushed it into my hands, smiling, urging me to eat. "Alright" I say and start to eat, once I've finished I put the bowl by my side and start to examine the flower again.

"You seem very interested in that flower lass." Balin said sitting next to me

"Well, it's quite pretty." I said

"Hey, isn't that the flower Kili gave you." Ori asked, the dwarfs eyes widen in shock as their head swiftly turned to Ori "Yeah, you they've been close this whole trip, Kili seemed quite flirty towards her......" Ori said, the dwarf heads spun towards my face felt like it was on fire

"Is this true Lass?" Balin asked

"Yes..." I answered shyly, Dwalin and a few others wolf whistled

"LADS!" Balin said

"I wouldn't get your hope up lass, cause you've got a lot of suitors to get through if you're going to be with Kili." Dwalin said

"Suitors? Excuse me?" I asked looking at Dwalin confused

"Yeah suitors, you know set up girls that compete for-" Dwalin started but I cut him off

"I know what a suitor is but why has he got suitors, is his family like, rich or something?" I ask, the dwarfs exchange confused glances

"Has Kili not told you of his family, at all lass?" Bofur asked

"No, he just told about himself and a little about his brother, nothing about where he come from or his mother or father, why?" I asked

"Um....hey haven't you read about the Durin line?" Bofur asked

"Yeah," I say " but the line only went as far as Thorin and his sister Dis other than that....nothing." I say

"(Y/N), Lass, Dis is Kili's mother." Dwalin said, it hit me like a brick wall, how had Kili fail to mention this? Well....um...

"Oh...." I say sadly "Your right I shouldn't get any hopes up." I said and put the flower securely in my pocket......

Thorin's POV:

I heard them talking behind me and the words (Y/N) said hit me like a brick wall, she doesn't think that she's good enough for Kili, even though Kili love her....he told me himself

"Uncle can I speak with you, please?" Kili asked approaching me

"Yes." I answered

'I think I found my one." Kili stated, my eyes went to the happy little three-way-breed

"The girl?" I asked

"Yes, (Y/N), I can't explain it uncle she just makes me feel....well....alive." he said, I smiled a little

"Keep your head high, I bet you she's already fallen for you as well and if she hasn't she's bound to, us Durin dwarfs have the skill to make girl fall for us in only a short amount of time...."

Kili's going to be in so much pain or he's just going to go and make her feel worse....I have to try to fix this, subtlety though.....

You POV:

"But don't get your hopes down lass" Bofur said

"I should, these suitors will be Dwarrow maidens, sure I'm the everything for my town but compared to them I'm nothing. And if Kili did like me, who would approve. Sure I'm a third dwarf and Hobbit, GREAT!, but yet also a third elf," I take a pause and point to my ears "I shouldn't even think about it, way out of my league anyways." I finished, the dwarfs looked down in sadness, Balin patted my back "There's still hope Lass, there's always hope...." He said. I smiled and sighed, then started to laugh "Ok let's not let this bring us down eh? We're going out to reclaim your homeland, you should be happy." I said the dwarf cheered, I was about to speak again when the brothers came yelling

"TROLLS!, TOLLS! THEY HAVE BILBO!" Kili yelled, the camp quickly got packed and rushed with weapons in hands. I ran alongside Kili, when we got to our hiding place he spoke

"I'm going to save him, for you, I promise....." He said took my hand and kissed it then rushed out and sliced the leg of a troll

"DROP HIM!" He yelled

"You what?!" The troll said

"I said drop him." Kili said spinning his sword, Bilbo got thrown at him and as if it was their que the dwarfs rushed out of the bushes and into battle and I didn't waist a second to run in after them.....
