Six's POV

3 months later

I've been low-key dreading the time I would have to wake up from the peaceful atmosphere of the Himalayas, but now that the morning is here, I almost refuse to get out of bed. Sam is still in bed too, he looks over and me and smiles, I smile back. Sam reaches across the bed and tucks a loose strand of hair away. I smile and close my eyes. Could I just forget about the fight that ruined us? Forget about the doubt that I've carried around the past few months that was finally confirmed? I wish.

"Morning," Sam says.

"Morning," I say.

"How are you feeling?"

"Decent."

Sam gives me a sad look, probably reminiscing on something cheerful like I would have said when we were happier.

I've been dreaming of spending more time the the Garde in the Himalayas, literally. Last night I was standing near the waterfall with John again, we didn't say anything for a while, we just stood beside each other. When I looked up at him and said: "I don't know what to do." John had replied by saying: "I am not here to tell you what to do, I'm here to stand by you no matter what you choose you do." I want to go back to him, I want to be near him again.

"Six?"

"What?" I say, snapping my eyes open,

"You were just laying there smiling and mouthing something," Sam says.

"Oh."

Sam goes back to school in a month, he'd been taking online classes to wrap up his High School education, and now he has gotten into NYU, so he's supposed to be moving to New York in a week, I've already said I'm not going with him. We had a huge argument last night, so I'm leaving. I let Sam know I wouldn't do it, I wouldn't just follow him around. I still want to be something, Sam wanted me to just drop the war when it ended, I can't. So we agreed to spilt up, it was for the better. That doesn't mean I won't miss him, we just don't love each other like we did, love is supposed to be unconditional. Sadly, apparently, ours was conditional.

...

"I love you." Those were our last words to each other before I drove away with all my stuff packed into my little Mercedes Benz. Even though we both know we loved each other more in a friend way, it needed to be said after the fight last night. Now I drive down the freeway, headed for the airport, headed for Marina and Ella.

They live in England now, they say it's not really in a town, but the nearest a little town called Brunswick that is just and hour north if London. They say it's beautiful and peaceful there, that where their house is, it's just green meadows as far as anyone can see, and that I'm welcome anytime. Using the Bluetooth feature on my car, I call up Marina.

"Marina's Phone!" I hear Ella's voice on the line.

"Hey Ella! It's Six," I say.

"Hi! What's up?"

"Well, it's a long story but would you mind if I just showed up at your guy's place? I need somewhere to stay and I just thought of you guys," I say.

"Yeah, come on over!" Ella says, sounding excited.

"Thanks, you guys are the best," I say.
