Six's POV

I'm running.

I'm running so fast I can't even keep up with myself. I'm mowing down miles by the minute, pushing myself faster each step.

The girls try to keep up, but they can't. I don't care at the moment though, I'm actually enjoying this.

John flies above me, then he sweeps down and grabs me.

We're in the air, I break away and fly beside him, we grab at each other, I little game of tag in the sky.

Everything else has disappeared, it's just me and him. I decide to let myself fall, knowing I'll be caught. Even though I would never do that in real life. And sure enough, I'm captured in his strong arms.

I reach up to kiss him, but then, he's gone. I fall.

I wake up.

I sit up in bed and look around, but nothing's new. It's just me, in my house. I check my phone, and it looks like Marina and Ella just arrived in San Francisco. Ella has been spamming me with texts, thank God for do not disturb.

I get out of bed and make coffee and sloppily make myself a peace of toast. I sit at my TV, eating my boring breakfast and drinking coffee.

Although my dream was weird, It did inspire me to go for a run.

Once I'm done with my coffee, I get changed into some work out clothes and decide to actually use the running app I bought months ago. I pull my hair back into a tight ponytail, and put on some running shoes I also bought months ago.  I put on my headphones and turn on some music, then walk out the door, get in my car, and head for the Academy. The Academy has a personalized running track for the Human Garde, and of course, John, Nine and I use it at free will.

Once I'm at the the Academy, I jump out of the car and head to the track, which is about a 5 minute walk from behind the dormitories. I begin my run once I get there.

I gradually ease faster and faster, from a slow jog to now going about 3x faster than any normal person could run at their fastest. Easily faster whoever the "fastest person in the world" is. I look down at my phone and I've gone 25 miles in 30 minutes. I grin as I push my burning muscles even faster, I didn't even know I could go this fast.

As I wind down, slowly decreasing my speed, I grab the water bottle I left at this point in the track and take a few gulps. My brain is still rushing as if I was still running while I walk back to my car, and surprisingly run into John, Marina, and Ella. John looks to be showing them around campus.

"Six!" Marina calls out.

"Hey guys!" I call back.

Ella runs up to hug me and does it very briefly.

"Sweaty, huh?" I laugh.

"Definitely, what were you doing?" Ella asks.

"I went for a run," I say, finally catching John's eye contact.

"Hey," he says with a crooked smile.

"Hey," I greet.
