Six's POV

I stir in my bed this morning, nuzzling into the sheets that bear the familiar smell of John. I've been up for an hour but I've been just lying here in thought.

I've been yearning to spend more time with John, who is always somewhere in the back of my mind. Helping him make pizza was not only fun but pretty educational to me. I hear laughing in the living room that could only belong to Marina and John. The unfamiliar feeling of jealousy shoots through me.

No.

Am I seriously developing feelings for John? Right after my breakup with Sam? But the truth is, I've been having these thoughts about John since 3 months ago. They are just on constant repeat and getting stronger.

I decide to doze for a while longer. A "while" turns into 2 hours.

Knock, knock, knock.

"What?" I moan.

"You're up?" I hear Marina ask.

"Yeah."

"Ok, well if you want breakfast you should get up," she says.

"Fine."

I now notice the time. It's 11:20 AM.

I roll out of bed and hop to my feet. Putting on some slippers that were by the door, I walk out of the bedroom.

I arrive in the kitchen and John looks up from pancake batter and smiles at me. His hair is all fluffed and bent at awkward angles and his eyes still a tad drowsy from the lingering effect of sleep. I sigh and walk up to him, gently nudging him with my elbow once I'm close enough.

"Good morning," John breaths.

"Morning, pancakes eh?" I ask.

"Pancakes."

"Figured."

He smirks and takes the bowl of batttr over to the stove where he pours the liquid substance onto a pan. I watch every move he makes, swinging, leisurely, yet still slightly cautious. I move to go see what Marina and Ella are doing. I see they are playing that game again, hurling insults at each other as they rival. I laugh and watch as they play. It must be nice to have such a sister-like figure in Ella's life, she needed one.

"Breakfast Ladies!" John calls.

Ella immediately jumps up after pausing the game and runs into the dining area, quickly followed by Marina and I.

I seat myself at the table next to John's seat, across from Marina, and diagonally across from Ella. John enters with our breakfast and then goes back into the kitchen for second trip to to return with a plate of bacon.

"Nice," I say.

"Thanks," John says, winking at me.

I roll my eyes and smirk at him.

"Awwww," Ella moans. "You guys are the cutest!"
