Six's POV

Saturday

"All we have to do is go to West Virginia and wipe them out," Nine whines.

"We have to do it quietly, smart one," Lexa spits.

"There's a Lorialite place in West Virginia right?" Marina asks.

"Yes, the problem is that all the Lorialite stones are watched carefully, there's almost no way we could get there without being seen," John says.

"You can't fly us there, can you?" Sam questions.

"Of course not," John says with a small laugh.

"You could transfer the legacy," Ella suggests.

"It only lasts so long, we would have to make stops," John says.

"I could make sure you guys don't get detected," Lexa adds.

"I could help with that," Adam says.

"I could too," chimes Malcolm.

"So it looks like we're all flying there," I say.

"We should stay separate too," Sam says. "It would be a good idea to be invisible."

"Ok so here's what's happening," John starts. "We'll leave have leave here at 10:00 tomorrow morning so we can get to West Virginia about sunset the day after. Since we'll be flying ourselves and stopping periodically. That way we can get a 24 hour head start and maybe even be there a little early to get ourselves together.

"I think we've already made the decision that Adam, Lexa, and Malcolm will stay behind to work the hacking part of the operation. So that means the rest of us go. Are we all good with that?" John says.

Everyone nods and agrees.

...

"Want any more?" John asks.

"I'm good, thanks," I say as I down the last of my water.

John, Marina, Nine, Ella, Sam, and I decided to spend the night here so we don't have to worry about waking up at just the right time to get here by 10:00. Adam, Lexa, and Malcolm will meet at Lexa's house, where she's set up a backup base for her work in case all her stuff at the academy goes downhill.

We all clean up and I step outside for a moment. Not only to breathe in fresh air but to think about what Sam and John said earlier. I guess they forgot I have advanced hearing.

John loves me? When did that happen? I feel warm inside when I think about it.

I hear footsteps behind me as Marina approaches me.

"Are you going to bed?" Marina asks.

"I will," I respond quietly.

"What are you thinking about?" Marina asks.

"Things."

"Well that's specific," she sarcastically retorts.

I let out a little laugh and look back out at the night. I decide to walk a few steps forward and sit on the soft grass.
