Zanya stared at the floor.  Gone.  It was all gone.  He had lost almost everything.  Why didn't he do anything?  He could've done something!  He could've at least saved his own father!

Rage replaced the crippling grief, and Zanya let out an enraged yell.

"Zarkon will pay!  I'll kill him myself!" screamed Zanya, storming out of the room.

Shiro stared after the enraged male in shock.  What had just happened?  He started to walk after Zanya, but Allura stopped him.

"We should leave him be," said Allura.  "When he's calmed down, you can talk to him."

Shiro nodded.  If anyone knew Zanya, it would must likely be his own sister.

"Alright!" said Allura.  "There's no time to waste!  We must retrieve the other lions before Zarkon can reach them!"

She beckoned for them to follow her into a different room of the castle, and Shiro obeyed, following behind his friends deeper into the castle.

*CRASH*

The training robot fell to the ground in three separate pieces.  Zanya panted heavily, trying to calm himself down.

"Start training level four," he called out. The castle obeyed his command, and within a few seconds, another robot fell from the ceiling.

Zanya wasted no time. He charged at the robot, slashing his sword at it. The robot leaped out of the way, and ran straight for Zanya. Zanya blocked the incoming strike, but lost balance and fell over. The robot pointed its own sword at him, and Zanya kicked it in the stomach. The robot went flying backwards, and before it could regain balance, Zanya stabbed it in the head.  The robot's single glowing eye flickered off, signaling that Zanya had won.

Zanya had never really been an incredible fighter. Sure, he could beat some average Atlean soldier, but most of the time he fought Allura, he lost miserably. He himself was surprised that he was doing so well with the training robots. He let out a sigh and commanded the computer to start the next training level.

Shiro had always wanted to help others when they were upset, no matter who they were. That was just the kind of person he was. So while Allura was explaining the locations of the lions and who should pilot them, his mind was stuck on the Atlean boy with the startling blue eyes.

"Shiro, are you listening?" Allura asked him.

"What? Oh, sorry," Shiro replied quickly, "my mind was just somewhere else."

"I said that you shall pilot the black lion," said Allura.

Shiro nodded and Allura gave him a small smile before she returned to discussing how they would get the lions. Shiro tried harder to listen, but his mind still returned to the pained expression on the boy's face.

"Father, do you think I'll become a strong warrior like you?" the small boy asked his father as they walked through the twisting hallways of the castle.

King Alfor laughed and replied, "Why would you think that you wouldn't be?"

"I can't fight at all!" Cried the boy. "I'm so small and weak, and I'm no good with any kinds of weapons! Allura is so strong and graceful, and your the best warrior in the whole kingdom! I'm a nobody!"

Alfor gave the boy a loving smile and turned toward him. "You're the prince! How could you be a nobody?"

"I can't do anything worth something," replied the boy.

"Zanya, you're the best dancer in the entire kingdom! Every time we have a celebration, you out dance everyone!"

"Dancing isn't useful, though."

"You are the most handsome prince Altea's ever had! Whenever girls see you the blush and giggle!"

"I can't fight with my handsome face."

"You're smart and sneaky. You can form elaborate plans and take out the enemy before they even know what hit them!"

"You think so?"

"I know so."

Zanya laughed and continued walking with Alfor. He could be the best warrior in the whole kingdom! Maybe the Galaxy! His smile didn't go away as he followed his father through the castle.
