Zanya felt a wave of excitement wash over him as he watched the blue lion and one of the castle's space pods fly through the two wormholes. Along with the excitement came worry, though. What if the humans (he had now learned what species they were) were attacked while searching for the other lions? Zanya especially worried for Shiro. Shiro was going to lead Voltron, what if something happened to him?
"You seem worried," Coran pointed out to the blue-eyed male. "Don't worry, I'm sure that they'll be fine."
"I guess you're right," Zanya smiled at the red-haired Atlean. Coran was always so nice, as well as always knowing what to say to comfort the slightly smaller Altean.

Shiro was nervous. He was on a strange ship, going to strange planet, and his only companion for this journey was a fourteen-year-old! Who wouldn't be nervous? Shiro thought back to the bright smile on Zanya's face that had appeared when he stated that he would help them defeat Zarkon. Shiro quickly covered his face so Pidge wouldn't see his slowly reddening blush that had again made its way onto his poor face.
Even though he had made sure that the Altean was alright, he still couldn't get Zanya off of his mind. His beautiful smile, his glittering blue eyes, his silky snow-white hair, every single detail! He knew this feeling. It was love. Takashi Shirogane was in love. In love with the prettiest alien that he had ever seen.
"Hey, we're here," Pidge said, gazing at the beautiful planet that was coming into view. Shiro removed his hand from his face and piloted the ship into the atmosphere of the planet which supposedly was housing the green lion. He tried not to get distracted by his own thoughts, this was an important mission.

"Hey, Coran," Zanya turned toward the other Altean as they walked down the hallway. "What's it like to be in love?" Coran stopped and looked back at the curious male.
"Well, it's kind of hard to explain," replied Coran. "It's like when you look at the person, you get this weird feeling in your stomach. You feel a need to be with that person, comfort them, protect them, that kind of thing."
"How can you tell if someone else is in love with you?"
"I guess if they try to be near you, they always try to make you happy, maybe if they will go to extremes to try and keep you safe? I'm not very good with this kind of stuff, why are you asking?"
"Um...well..."
"Are you in love?" Coran gave Zanya a puzzled look. Zanya blushed and looked down at his feet.
"Maybe..."
