It had been two days since Jace and Andy had been kicked out of the Institute. Two days filled with angry huffs, glares, and insults that laid the blame on each other while Alec and Magnus tried to pick up the pieces. Well, mostly Alec, because Magnus was very sick of hearing his doors slam and trying to play therapist.

The warlock had been generous enough to allow the Morgenstern siblings to stay in his loft, seeing as they quite literally had no where else to go. He had two guest bedrooms with a troubled Shadowhunter in each. Andy was splayed across a queen mattress, trying to force herself to get some sleep in one room. In the other...

Andy groaned loudly as she heard banging against the wall that was shared with the other bedroom. The sound was soon followed by giggling.

She reached over and grabbed one of the pillows on the bed, slamming it over her head in an attempt to shut out the noise. She really wished Magnus had soundproofed his house. The noise continued, making the girl increasingly frustrated. No one ever wants to hear their family doing that.

Finally, she was given a bit of a break when she heard music start to play from outside the hall. It wasn't exactly her taste, but it was loud and helped to drown out the background noise. Still, her plans of sleep had been totally abandoned at this point. She had other ideas that seemed much more fulfilling.

She forced herself to ignore the soreness in her muscles as she stood. She only slightly regretted her assault on a punching bag a few days ago that didn't end until she was near total exhaustion. She shook out her limbs and stretched for a moment before throwing on her worn out boots and grabbing her jacket from the armchair in the corner of the room.

She stepped out of the bedroom door and walked quickly down the hall, ignoring the thuds from the room beside hers. She felt a moment of relief as she entered the main room, but it quickly left her when she noticed Magnus and Alec on the black couch tucked near the window. Their lips were locked in a heated kiss.

Andy paused, scoffing at the couple. "Really? You guys, too?"

The two separated and glanced up at her. Alec straightened up, afraid her was making her jealous or uncomfortable. That wasn't the case of her annoyance, though. "We were just-"

"Don't worry about it," she cut him off as she strode towards the front door. "I'm just gonna go."

Magnus paused her with a look of mild concern that she did not expect. "Please tell me you've given up on that warlock. I haven't found any leads and I severely doubt she's standing in the middle of time square, just waiting for you to kill her."

Andy frowned at his pessimism, waving him off. "I'm sitting on that for the time being," she explained. "My plan is to get drunk enough that I can't remember my last name." Her statement had much more weight to it than an outside observer might realize.

Both of the men looked like they wanted to argue, and she was sure Magnus was going to insist she stay in and get incredibly wasted at the loft. So she left and closed the apartment door behind her before either one could utter a word. She embraced the silence of the early morning.

Andina was settled on an uncomfortable bar stool in the Harvest Moon, already well on her way to getting drunk by the time Magnus walked in. She was busy bantering with the friendly werewolf behind the bar and didn't notice the man's presence until he sat down beside her, ordering a drink for himself.

The bartender, Maia, poured him a dirty martini and slid it over to him with a warm look. She greeted all of her customers with a friendly face until given a reason to do otherwise.
