Lily's POV.

"Lily?" I staggered backward as the sight of the shirtless Mark Livingston. Water slipped from his glossy wet hair. "GAh!" I fled the scene, hurtling down the stairs. "Is there a problem, dear?" Mrs. Livingsto- Jen asked, looking up, worry written on her face.

"N-no ma'am..." She smiled. "Alright." I slowly made my way up the stairs a couple minutes later to see Mark. I knocked on the door. "Come in." I covered my eyes. "Are you decent?!" I heard him laugh. "Yeah, I am."

I slowly opened the door of his room and uncovered my eyes. Mark had put on a white tee and grey sweatpants. I sighed and collapsed on his bed. "Rough day?" He asked, sitting on the edge of the bed. I groaned and stretched. "You have no idea...."

I explained the days events to him. "And he didn't say anything, letting you go from the job?" Mark asked, pointing to his mouth as I ate the ice cream his mother had brought. I rolled my eyes and put the spoon to his mouth.

"I didn't really let him. I left before he could keep talking." Mark nodded. "Uh,huh...?" I groaned. "You know....This ice cream isn't working..." He snorted. "You think everything is like it is in the movies?" I glared slightly at him.

"You are no help, Mark Livingston." He laughed. "I never said I would want to help." I gasped in fake disbelief. "I hate you, Mark." I smirked, smearing ice cream on his cheek with my finger. He gasped in fake surprise.  "B-but...." His eyes grew wide, like a sad puppy getting scolded. "I love you...." I laughed, and almost fell off the bed.

Mark's POV.

Lily laughed and leaned back, almost toppling off the bed. I reached out and grabbed her arm. "Careful, clutz." I chuckled. "Hey!" Lily snatched my pillow and swung it at my head. I ducked and lunged forward wrapping my arms around her. I flung her to the side. Lily's giggle brought a smile to my face. Sometimes I forgot she was dating another guy.

It's not like I was jealous of Dylan....it was just... He was lucky to have an amazing girlfriend. I was honest with myself. I wasn't ever going to try to steal her away from him. I was her best friend. But that wouldn't stop my feelings for her.

Lily grinned up at me and swung the pillow again. This time I wasn't ready and the pillow hit me in the head. I fell onto my side, grinning at her. "Ow, that hurt!" She grinned. I saw something in her eyes that looked like drowsiness.

"Then stop being so cute!" I stared at her before bursting out laughing. "That doesn't even make sense!" She glanced at me, and confused look on her face. "Huh?" She tilted her head, blinking slowly. "You.....started hitting me.....because.....I called you...a clutz...." I spluttered between laughs.

Lily's eyes began to droop. I smiled knowingly. She had a long day and needed a long well earned sleep. I pulled her to my gently, and pulled the covers over her. Lily closed her eyes and smiled lightly, already asleep. I tucked the blankets up to her chin and stood up, gathering up the empty ice cream cartons from the bed and floor and walked out to the kitchen.

"How is she?" Mom asked, almost scaring me. I dropped the containers in the garbage and turned to her. "She's asleep." Mom nodded. "I'm glad she has a friend like you to go to when she needs help." I smiled. "I'm glad to be her friend."

I walked back up the stairs to see Lily still asleep, lightly snoring. I picked up the phone and called her mom, telling her Lily was staying over. "Alright, Mark. Thank you for taking care of her. Sometimes I worry she has no one to call her friend besides her boyfriend, Dylan."

I smiled. "Don't worry Mrs. Hamato, I'll take care of her. I promise."

Done! Another chapter finished! Hope it has more details then my previous book! Tell me if it does, or if I have to work harder on it. Thank guys!
