Marcus Houston stared out the window of the 50 story building. His plan was going according to plan. "Sir." A young man walked into the room and bowed slightly in respect. "The prisoners are......getting restless." Marcus smirked a little to himself. The Rodger family was going to pay for what they did to thwart his plans of success.
"They are animals, it's their natural instinct." Marcus chuckled darkly at his own joke. "Sir," The young man cleared his throat. "They are not going to be easy to contain." Marcus shook his head. "Richard, do you know how dangerous Alexis Rodg-...Hamato was a few years ago?" The boy shook his head.
"Can't say that I do sir." Marcus sat back and picked up a metal case one of the scientists had brought him earlier. "Well, let me enlighten you." He flicked up the snaps that held the case locked. "Alexis had the power of speed, flight, shifting, pyrokinesis, and others of such." Richard's eyes didn't widen.
"You don't seem surprised son." Marcus remarked, raising the cover and lifting out a small vial filled with light blue liquid. "Sir......what we are working on..what you are working on, it's extraordinary...I am not surprised by a lot."
Marcus was impressed with his response. Not a lot of people were as brave Richard Walt. He admired the boy and his tolerance of....well....almost everything. "Do you know what this is?" He held up the vial for Richard to see.
Richard strode closer. "It is the Super Soldier Serum which the lab has been working on for the longest time." Marcus nodded. "Quite right." He turned it, eyeing the contents greedily. "With this my boy......we will create an army.....a barrage of super soldiers." He turned to the young man. "But.....I'm afraid one thing is missing."
"And what is that sir?" Richard asked. "The secret ingredient that will make this serum permanent. See now this would work.....but only for a few hours. With the code to the missing chemical, we could make this permanent. Making Alexis' powers seem like nothing. We will rule the world Richard! The world!!" He turned. "We will be epics to the other humans....gods....." Marcus' eyes gleamed with a wickedness known only to the kinds in a mental asylum. "Day versus night.....god versus man...."
Richard shoves his hand in his pocket to hide it's shaking. "Sir. Do you think it is....really possible?" Marcus turned to him, slightly shaken from his greedy trance. "We will only know of we test it out." He smirked. "And I believe we already have guinea pigs in the box....sheep in the slaughterhouse...." Marcus's cackle echoed through the room bringing a shiver to Richard's spine.
"Do you mean sir...." Marcus handed him the vial. "Yes, my boy. Tell the guards to pull the lever that releases the sleeping gas in the Rodger siblings' cell. Then inject them both with this..." Richard nodded. "Yes sir." He bowed and raced out of the room, not noticing the six figures entering Mr. Houston's office behind him.
