3rd Person POV.

It was quiet at the small Cafe the next day. The little group met and sat in a corner table. Lily brought the file her uncle had showed her the other day. "So.....this guy was just...murdered. Without a motive or a reason" Henry shivered. "That's cold."

Amber shook her head. "No, he had to have had a motive. if he didn't. what was the point?" Mark leaned back, crossing his arms. "People live for torture and meaningless murders these days." The rest nodded in agreement.

"So." Jay, who'd been quiet while they talked, spoke up. "Do you think this is has a connection to your mom and Uncle's disappearance?" Lily sighed. "I don't know for sure. But it was the lat thing they were talking about....." Lily looked down, remembering the last things she'd said to her mother, and uncle.

"Lily?" Henry nudged her shoulder. "Uh,huh?" Lily looked up to see all four of them staring at her. "Are you ok?" Amber asked, waving her hand across the table in Lily's face. "I'm fine, guys....really."

The others looked at each other. "You miss them." Mark guessed. Lily held in tears and bit her lip. "Y-yeah..." Jay smiled sympathetically, and hugged her. "We're all here for you, Lily." He whispered, letting go.

Lily nodded. "So, back to business." She wiped her arm across her face to rid it of any trace of tears. "We need to find out what the motive was in this murder and collect evidence that might lead us to finding my mom and Uncle Jack."

Jay grinned a little. "So we're going to go on a mission of our own?!" Lily thought for a moment. "I guess....but there will be no weapons." They nodded. Mark folded his arms. "How are we supposed to protect ourselves?"

Lily shook her head. "We are collecting evidence, not going into enemy territory. We don't need weapons." Mark sighed, but nodded. "Alright...if you say so."

"Hey, guys!" Lily turned her head to see Dylan tossing his jacket over a chair and taking a seat next to Henry. "Hi, Dylan." Lily's spirits lifted. She always felt happy when Dylan was around. He just radiated happiness.

Henry reached into his pocket and retrieved a small object. "Here, Dylan....but. We need to talk about it." Lily was confused. What was that object? Why did Henry need to talk to Dylan about it? Was it really that important?

Lily's POV.

I raised my eyebrow at him. Dylan flashed his irresistible smile and turned back to Henry. "Lily, why don't we let Dylan in on this!" Amber smirked and leaned back. I swiped my head to the side, glaring at her. "Amber.....no."

"What do you want me in on?" Dylan slipped in beside me and hugged my arm. "Nothing." I let out through gritted teeth, glaring at Amber. Dylan pouted. "Come on, Lily.....tell me." A smile twitched at my lips.

His whining was so adorable, and irresistible. How could this man go from a toddler to mature in 1.2 seconds? I smiled down at him, as his head was resting on my shoulder. "Nothing, Dylan. Don't worry." I stroked his extremely soft hair. How could I not love him?!

"Lily's mom and Uncle are missing, and she wants to find them." Henry blurted out. "Henry!" I shouted, making people in the cafe look at us. "What? Really? Are you ok?" Dylan sat up and pulled me close to him. See what I meant? 0 to 100000000 real quick.

"I'm fine, Dylan." I gave Henry a dirty glance, and took the file from Mark, who was being rarely quiet. He pouted. "Whyyyyy? I was reading that!" I rolled my eyes. Great. Another big baby. Dylan pulled the file from me, and began flipping through it, his eyes moving side to side a mile a minute.
