Neils pov

It was the first concert for the tour. We were standing back stage listening to the opening act. We had shinedown open up for us. And we could tell, that all throughout the stadium, our fans were sad. They were sad, for the fact that Max wasn't with us. I guess, they learned to love her, like they love us.

"Hey guys, we are shinedown. The song that we are going to sing is 45. We are going to sing this in memory for Maxie Gontier Sanderson, who died of suicide. And before we start, I want to say a few words. I only met Maxie once, but from the time that I knew her, I saw a girl who held so much pain, and hurt, and betrayal behind her eyes. She was strong for a long time, but yet, she was weak. So many people she loved betrayed her, and she couldn't take anymore pain. This is 45."

'Send away for a priceless gift

One not subtle, one not on the list

Send away for a perfect world

One not simply, so absurd

In these times of doing what you're told

Keep these feelings, no one knows

What ever happened to the young man's heart

Swallowed by pain, as he slowly fell apart

[Chorus:]

And I'm staring down the barrel of a 45,

Swimming through the ashes of another life

No real reason to accept the way things have changed

Staring down the barrel of a 45

Send a message to the unborn child

Keep your eyes open for a while

In a box high up on the shelf, left for you, no one else

There's a piece of a puzzle known as life

Wrapped in guilt, sealed up tight

What ever happened to the young man's heart

Swallowed by pain, as he slowly fell apart

[Chorus]

Everyone's pointing their fingers

Always condemning me

And nobody knows what I believe

I believe

[Chorus]

And I'm staring down the barrel of a 45,

And I'm swimming through the ashes of another life

There's no real reason to accept the way things have changed

Staring down the barrel of a 45

45

Staring down the barrel of a 45 '

The song brought tears to my eyes. It brought tears to my eyes for the fact that she killed herself with a gun, And this song was playing when she was dying in my arms. I was happy that they played this song, but at the same time I was not. This song brought so many feelings, so many thoughts to my mind. I missed Max, everyone around me knew that.

"Now, welcome to the stage........ the members of your favorite band........ Three Days Grace!!" I was brought out of my thoughts when I heard this. It was time for the tour to begin.

I walked onto the stage and took my spot behind my drum set. I took hold of the microphone in front of me and said into it,

"Hey guys. So this is the first concert if the remember Maxie tour. As you all know, Maxie committed suicide not too long ago. And in memory of her, we are putting on  number of concerts to remember her. In the middle of the concert we are going to sing a song of Max's to honor her contribute to music. Now, without further a do, let this concert begin."
