Trouble - Luke x Reader

I know I know, I haven't been posting but I had the flu, then I was in Florida, then I had a ton of homework and YouTube to catch up on and yeah. Also I have a new book out. It's not about this, it's about Markiplier, so check it out if you want. I should have a chapter up soon. Now onto the story. (Note this is before the war)

Luke's POV

Trouble. Trouble had followed me around since I was young. I was never lucky, but I wasn't the only one. She had the same problem. When both learned that when we first got here.

Flashback to when Luke first got to camp. I don't have the book with me so excuse me if I mess up some of the details.

We were running. Running as fast as possibke to try and get to camp in time. It was me, Grover, Annabeth, Thalia, and Y/N. We had picked her up while in the woods. She was heading here too and we joined together so we wouldn't get lost. It didn't help that right after we found her, a Cyclops found us. Y/N cursed under her breath, with I thought was weird for someone her age, and we took off. We were so close to camp when the Cyclops barged through a few trees and was right on us. We could see the border of camp but I knew we couldn't make it. The only one who didn't was Annabeth, so I let her pass me and turned around, ready to fight. Thalia had already stopped and brandished her sword, yelling at us to get to camp. Annabeth, Grover, and I started to run but Y/N wouldn't. In the few minutes we had gotten to talk, she and Thalia had become good friends, and she wasn't about to lose that.

"Thalia, come one. We're so close. We'll have backup in camp. Let's go." Y/N screamed over the roaring, but Thalia dismissed it and shoved her away. Y/N stood up and was about to grab her when the Cyclops swept her away and threw her to the ground, a large gash in her stomach and the light fading from her eyes. We all ran over to her, the Cyclops running away when he heard the scream Y/N let out. It sounded like someone had just stabbed her, and she dropped to the ground in front of Thalia. "You idiot. We could have made it, and it was my fault. I should have told you about the Cyclops following me, but I thought we were safe." She started to cry along with everyone else. I wanted to be mad at her. I wanted to scream at her for leading us into death, but for some reason I couldn't. All I could do was cry and feel bad for her. I picked her up and led Annabeth and Grover to camp. We almost crossed the hill when we saw a tree growing when Thalia died. We watched as it grew taller and taller, until it was almost 3 stories tall, and let out a large blue wall from the tree, wrapping all the way around the camp. It formed some sort of Barker and we walked in, heading towards the house on the hill.

End Flashback

Y/N and I had become good friends after that and always hung out, which usually led to a lot of trouble. Today was no different. We had climbed a tree and were sitting at the top, about to have a jumping contest into the lake. Y/N said she would go first, which surprised me because she was never a huge fan of water. She counted to 5, then jumped and made a huge splash in the lake. She was under water for awhile and I started to get worried, but then she popped up and called me down. I knew I wasn't getting out of this without lots of teasing, so I counted to 5 and jumped. I immediately felt the rush of the wind past my body and opened my eyes to see the water zooming closer. What I didn't see is the rock that I was about to hit my head on. I broke the water and shot down, the momentum of the jump carrying me down until I was stopped by a rock to the head. I heard a scream and everything went black.

I woke up in the infirmary with Y/N crying and muttering to herself. I heard a little bit of what she said and it broke me.

"It's my fault. I'm always followed by trouble and now I've hurt the one person I care about."

"You didnt hurt them. You made them open their eyes." Y/N looked up with tears in her eyes and grabbed my hand. "Y/N, I've fallen in love with you since the day I met you and hearing that you feel the same has made my world. Will you be my girlfriend, even with all the trouble?" She smiled and nodded, happier than I've ever seen her. I leaned over and kissed her, happy that trouble wasn't always a bad thing.
