Who Am I? (Leo x Reader pt.4)

A/N: I'm thinking about just having Y/N figure out what is going on and fall in love with Leo cause this could go on forever if I kept going.

I woke up before sunrise and walked outside to the lake, sitting down and looking at everything. The sun was slowly rising, bathing the camp in blood red light. Everything seemed so simple and calm now. The whole thing about my father is just so confusing, and added on that I think I might have a crush on Leo. His warm brown eyes look like melted chocolate, his curly hair looked so soft I could run my hand through it and not feel a knot, his adorable elf ears... I need to stop talking about him. He probably thinks I'm evil or some kind of monster. Although, there was one thing I wanted to see. I stood up and focused real hard until I felt something on my back start to move. I got this hot feeling on my back and saw a flash of black before my back felt heavier. I looked back to see two pairs of midnight blue wings stretch from my back. They weren't like angel wings, more like the bat wings. Thin and powerful, with claws on the end. Might as well try them out, I thought. I started to flap my wings, slowly lifting off the ground. The higher up I got, the easier this was. I stopped at when I was at the top of the trees. It felt amazing, like I could fly around the world in a day. My wings felt strong and powerful. I flew up a little farther, then stopped and dove down to the lake. Right before I hit the water, I spread my wings and glided over the lake, leaving a trail in my wake. After a while of flying, I headed back to the camp to get a few more hours of sleep. I started my walk back to the Bug House when I heard someone call my name.

"Y/n, is that you?" I turned around to see Leo jogging my way. As he got closer, he slowed down until he was in front of me. "Uh..." He stood there, staring at me.

"What are you...Oh." I realized that my wings were still out. "Yeah, I guess I found my wings." He just stood there, not saying anything. He probably thinks I'm even more of a freak now that I have two sets of bat wings on my back.

"They're beautiful. Y/n, they look amazing." He reached his hand out to touch them. "Is it okay if I touch your wings?" I nodded, and he touched my top left wing. It felt like...I can't even describe it. It was the most wonderful sensation I have ever felt. "Y/n, I was wondering if you...if you could take me for a ride?" I couldn't help but smile.

"Hold on tight." He grabbed onto my side and I spread my wings and took off. We flew up to the top of the trees and landed on one of the sturdier branches. The sun was higher up in the sky now and a few campers were starting to wake up.

"How does it feel? To have wings, I mean."

"They're heavy, and bulky. It's going to be hard to get through doors. Still, I'm free do go anywhere I want and I don't have to be held back by gravity." I stared at the sunrise, thinking about the places I could go. Then I realized, Leo may understand but a lot of the other campers will think I'm a freak. "Leo, I have to go." I was getting up when Leo grabbed my arm.

"What are you talking about Y/n?" Of course he doesn't get it.

"Leo, everyone is going to think I'm a freak when they see my wings. Do you see anyone else walking around with wings. They might think I'm a monster. I already brought in the giants, and now this. I'm not staying." I tried to fly away again, but Leo still had a firm grasp on my arm.

"Y/n, your not leaving. I won't let you. Fly me down into the forest and I'll go talk to Chiron. He'll have something for you." I decided to go with it and flew him down to the ground. "I'll be back in awhile." With that he ran off, and I flew back up to the tree to take a nap.
