SIXTEEN

A week has past since that night. I avoid Changkyun as much as possible so I don't have to remember what happened but it doesn't help. I still feel his touch on my hand which is weird. I don't know how to describe the feeling, but it confuses and intreagues me. It was lunch time and I was eating at the same table as usual with the same people but Hyo Rin invited Baekhyun and Changkyun this time. I guess I am going to have to deal with him now. Right when I think to myself, they both arrive and sit in front of us.

"Good afternoon" Baekhyun said to the both of us.

I just mumble and Hyo Rin starts a friendly chat with him. What is her deal with him? It gets on my nerves. I look to the side and see Changkyun glancing my way and I turn back my gaze to my plate. I close my eyes and push my tray a bit on Jodan's side.

"You can have it. I still owe you for last time" I replied and he took my plate gladly and ate it.

"I'll excuse myself for the rest or the day. I'm not going to be in class Hyo Rin so don't look for me" I said and get up to walk away but Jess and her gang stop in front of our table and bumps me on the way smirking.

"I'd tell you to watch it if you don't want to have your arm chopped off and shipped to your parents" I said angrily.

"Big words for someone who doesn't do much to prove it" She says and laughs while the others join her.

I curl up my hands into fists about to punch her but Changkyun and Hyo Rin speak up.

"You should go mess with someone of your own class for more attention" Changkyun says and she ignores him.

"Rin was just about to leave so if you don't mind not having your blood being on the floor, I guess you shouldn't move" She said and Jess turns over to face her.

"Don't try to cover for your friend. She can deal with this perfectly fine alone.  I am pretty sure she isn't able to even kill a fly" She says.

"You want to bet with me right now? Why do you think on tv there are several murders announced?" I say pissed.

"You didn't kill them. The duo-crimbels did. Does that ring a bell?" She asks me.

"It does ring a bell because I AM THE OWNER OF THE SITE AND I'M HUNTER!" I yell out loud and slap my mouth to shut up.

Hyo Rin looks at me as if I just commited a mistake, which I did and everyone else in the cafeteria looks my way. Baekhyun and Changkyun look as shocked as everyone else.

"I don't believe you. Stop trying to get attention" Jess says.

"You'll regret those words comming out of your mouth" I say and walk past her while pushing her out of my way and going to the dorm.

I arrive at the dorm very pissed and I start punching my bed.

"Why am I so stupid!?" I yell to myself and shove my face in my pillow.

"Just die Chaerin" I say to myself in my head.

I hear my phone beep and I answer it.

"What?" I say rudely.

"You have no idea how much trouble you will be in once you leave bloodwood" I heard at the other side of the line. It was my step father.

"What the hell did you call me for?" I yelled at him.

"I called you because I still have custody of you and I have to see you. Bloodwood asked for every parent to go see their child at least once. We'll be talking about all that once I get there in a week" He said.

"Your not my father! Nor step father! You aren't even family to me. Don't you dare say you are! You had pity on me once my mom died so you kept me" I yelled and hung up on him.

My phone kept ringing for a good ten minutes until I snoozed it. I was so furious I felt tears comming out of my eyes.

~Flashback with mom~

"Don't be sad Chaerin. I am here with you" Mom said as she hugged me.

"I just can't stand the fact that I might lose you" I said sobbing and clinging onto her.

"Even if I am not necessarily here, I am always right in there. I'll be everywhere with you" She says as she pokes my heart.

"Now stop crying and smile for me. Smile for me all the time okay. That's mommy's wish" She says and smiles. I wipe my tears and smile back at her.

"You always know how to make me stop" I say.

~End of flashback~

"I'm sorry mom. I can't make your wish come true" I say while silently crying.

I eventually fall asleep and don't wake up.

~4 hours later~

"Chaerin! Wake up we have to go meet up with Valex" Hyo Rin said.

"I'm not in the mood" I mumble in the pillow.

"We have to do this tonight. We were warned Chaerin. I can't do this without you either" Hyo Rin said while shaking me.

"Ugh fine, let's go" I say and we leave.

Jodan wasn't with us this time. We couldn't let him come this time, because this mission was that we actually might have to kill a couple people and I didn't want to risk having Jodan hurt. We arrive to the base and Bren shows us the blueprints of the mission and what we have to do. The reason why we have to play fire with fire is because they had kidnapped Judy. I don't really know how it happened but I don't question anything that Bren makes us do, certainly not when it inculdes Judy.
