THIRTY ONE

I wake up to the sound of the alarm go off. Bren was calling me so I had to answer.

"Hmm?" I mumble.

"Sorry for waking you up but I'm telling you the details in where we will be meeting up and figuring out the plan tomorrow" He says on the other side of the line.

"Text it to me instead. I'm going back to sleep, since I start me class in about two hours. Goodnight" I say and hang up on him. It was probably rude but he will understand later.

My phone eventually buzzes and I ignore it.

~2 hours later~

I wake up finally and get dressed to head to class for the afternoon with Hyo Rin. Once I get back, I decide to read the texts about the details and Hyo Rin does too. She looks at me confused.

"We will all have different positions?" Hyo Rin asked me.

"Yes we will. We don't know what posts though and some might get the same positions. Does that clear the misunderstanding?" I asked Hyo Rin.

"Yes it does. Well, I guess for the rest of the day, let's do something together?" Hyo Rin asks me.

"Sure, I'd like that" I say quietly.

The day went on smoothly and tonight was a special night for Bloodwood High. All the students were aloud to go to their parents for the weekend since it was a five day weekend. It turned out better than I anticipated. That meant I would be lucky to get out of campus without getting into trouble. The tables turned on our side for the weekend. The day finally passed on very quickly and I was very relieved. The day was very long and boring but let's just say I had to hide the fact that Changkyun and I got a little closer last night to Hyo Rin. I don't think she'll be happy to hear it from someone else about me and Changkyun if it ever ends up getting spoiled. Once we got back home, Hyo Rin and I went the the store to get some food and we decided to watch movies. Around one in the morning, we both got a text from Baekhyun and Changkyun wanting to come over. Hyo Rin replied quickly saying yes and I casually said yes. Not long after, around thirty minutes later, the guys arrived and greeted us with smiles plastered on their faces. I never saw Changkyun smile so brightly like that before. My heart went crazy for a second and I cought myself smiling but slowly fading away. Tonight is the night that I might not see him anymore. Well until they give us our post that is. This is the last meal I'll be having with them. I might sound like I am ready to die but deep inside I really am ready but just a small string keeps me from just letting myself give up easily. I brush off the thought and continue eating with them quietly. Once we finish eating, I look at the clock and it's time for us to go. They are opening the gates so we can meet up with our family. I bring a bag with a bit of clothes to change into once we meet with Bren and I keep my handy pocket knife that belonged to my father passed onto me in my hoodie.

"It's time" I tell Hyo Rin and she looks at me and nods seriously.

"Let's get this over with" She saiid getting up.

"Guys. Are you still comming with?" Hyo Rin asked and they both nodded.

"You know you don't have to risk your lives for us or the Masked Halos you know" I reply making sure if their decision is final.

"I'm going there for Hyo Rin. I want to be able to help and protect her" Baekhyun sais while taking hold of Hyo Rin's hand.

"I'm comming along since you always need the help you can get for everything. Plus I think you'd need someone to look after you" Changkyun said and I looked away.

"I don't need some looking after. I've been able to survive till now. I think I'll be fine. No, I know I'll be fine" I lied clearly hiding the fact that I might die.

"Whatever you say. I'm still going to be there" He said looking straight at me.

"Yeah. Anyways let's go" I said and left the dorm.

Walking to the gates quietly with the boys and Hyo Rin walking behind made it seem like it would take years. The more we got closer to the gates and that I could see Valex and Bren, the more I got anxious. I started sweating and breathing loudly, good thing they were behind me because they would have worried about me. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes for ten seconds. I continued to repeat to myself in my head "Mom will see me soon... Mom will see me soon". I opened my eyes and kept moving forward with the toughest look I've given in years.

"Just wait for me, I dare you" I told myself addressing to my mother.

"Rin who are you talking to?" Hyo Rin asked me.

"No one. Bren and Valex are here, let's hurry up" I said jogging to them.

"Are you guys ready for tonight?" Bren asked us.

"Can we know the details?" Hyo Rin asked him.

"When we get to the base I'll give you the information. Now get in the car" He said and everyone got in except Bren and I were last.

"Aren't you coming in?" Baekhyun asked.

"She and I need to talk for a second. Give us a minute" Bren said and brought me behind the car.

"Are you sure about this Chaerin? You still won't change your mind even if I asked you to?"

"Sorry Bren but I'm not one to change my mind easily. You know I go through with my plans to the maximum" I told him.

"You are just like your mother" he half smiled to himself.
