Chapter 23: Faithful Encounter

They all headed out their separate ways. It was dark, practically midnight but that didn't stop the teams to keep on searching.

×Hidan's POV×

We kept on searching for Ino. I noticed Tenten was not even bothered about the wound she had. She looked like as if the cut on her waist didn't even exist.

"It's to late. Let's stop."-- Kakazu said.

We all landed on the ground.

"I'm going to keep watch for now."--- Kakazu stated.

"Fine."-- I replied.

Tenten just leaned onto one of the trees closing her eyes... thinking.

I walked up to her but she didn't seem to notice my presence next to her.

"You feeling any better?"-- I asked her casually.

She then jumped back. Maybe I shouldn't have startled her.

"H-hidan! You almost gave me a heart attack!"-- she stated as she sighed in relief. "I'm fine."-- she then answered placing her arm around her waist.

"Ok then, let me see."-- I told her.

"Wh-what...n-no I'm fine..."-- she said gripping her shirt while looking at the ground.

I raised an eyebrow.... she's definitely hiding something.

I lifted her chin up looking at her eye's studying her face.

"Wh-what are y-you doing!?"-- she said as she was about to shrug my hand off.

Perfect timing. As she was about to take my hand off I lifted up her shirt just to see that her wound was completely gone.

"Hey! What the hell Hidan!?"-- she said as she pushed me away.

I was just shocked. How could a wound that deep not leave a single scar!? Not to mention, it was like her skin wasn't even damaged in the first place.

"What the heck happened to your injury!?"-- I asked her with a frown of disbelief.

"I-I don't k-know...it was gone when I ch-checked on it when we got b-back from the m-mission...."--- she replied with a confused expression, wrapping her arms around her waist. --"I was g-going to tell you when we finished eating but with the whole Ino s-situation I just kept it to myself...."---she said with a cracked voice.

I didn't know what to say...

"What's the commotion?"-- Kakazu said approaching us.

"Wound...Tenten...i-its g-gone...."-- I couldn't even speak right.

"You sound like an idiot, Hidan. What's going on?"--- Kakazu asked turning towards Tenten for an explanation.

"Don't call me an idiot, idiot!"--- I said snapping out of it.

"M-my wound disappeared...."--- Tenten replied stuttering.

"Impossible. Your wound was to deep. It would take atleast a week for it to close up."--- Kakazu stated confidently.

Tenten lifted her shirt up a bit; not even a single slight scratch on her.

"Tch..."--- Kakazu gasped from the surprise he got.

This day was full of surprises....

"We better rest up. We'll keep on searching tomorrow at the earliest."--- I stated.

"No. I'll keep searching."-- Sakura stubbornly said.
