Chapter 24: Deal

×Ino's POV×

"Lady Mizukage....."-- I said amazed. What was the fifth Mizukage doing around here?....

"Ohh, you're that girl from the Leaf, aren't you?"-- she asked me.

She probably knows I'm a rogue ninja...

"Y-yeah..."-- I replied stuttering...if they attack...I don't have any chances... it's three against one..

"Well, were are your manners Chojuro, Ao. It's improper of you to not greet a Lady."-- Mei said glaring at both of her guards.

"Ah! R-right. Ehmm I'm Chojuro, pleased to meet y-you."-- Chojuro said nervously extending his hand, while smiling awkwardly.

"Ohh..umm... I'm Ino."-- I replied , shaking his hand.

This is weird... aren't they planning on attacking? After all, I am worth a lot on the Bingo Book....

"I'm Ao."-- he greeted respectfully.

"H-hi...."-- I replied awkwardly.

The fifth Mizukage just stood there quietly, studying my every reaction. It was getting a bit awkward so I decided to talk...

"Um... you all know I'm a rogue ninja.... right?"--- I asked trying not to make eye contact.

"We do."-- Mei (The Mizukage) replied bluntly.

"Aren't you all going to try to capture me then?"-- I asked with a confused expression.

They all exchanged looks before looking at me again.

"Of course not."-- Chojuro replied while smiling.

That reply just made me get even more confused. Why wouldn't they just get this over with instead of messing around with my head!?

"I don't get your point at all."--- I stated raising an eyebrow.

"We know you're really unique and you're an undeniably explicit Kunoichi. But we've got a proposition."--- Mei said in her calm and collected voice.

I was slightly interested on what someone as powerful as her had to offer in a deal.

I quickly stood up straight and crossed my arms.

"And what would that be?"-- I asked in the most serious tone I could.

"We leave you off the hook...but you'll have to help us out with something."--- She replied nor showing a glimpse of emotions.

I should think this threw....
What if its a trap? I can't just let my guard down that easily. But if I don't accept....what will happen to me? She said they'd leave me 'off the hook'. Meaning that if I don't agree with them, I'm surely captured.

I'll just hear out what the deal is first before rushing in.

"I would first like to hear what I would have to do."-- I stated while taking quick glances at her companions. They could attack at any given moment.

"We know you're the girl from the Yamanaka Clan, therefore you can explore your opponent's mind if they're captured."-- She said...--"We would like for you to extract some information from an enemy we just captured."-- she added.

To be completely honest....I was expecting something more harsh than this. The deal seems good enough.

"Deal."-- I replied bluntly.

"Ahh, wonderful."-- she stated with a kind smile.

"Shall we leave?"-- Ao asked turning around facing Mei.

"Yes."-- she replied plainly while gesturing me to walk along side her.

We walked silently for what seemed to be hours, but before I even noticed, we were already there. We were at Kirigakure.

I was amazed about everything; it was so different from the hidden leaf village.

I remember that Iruka Sensei taught us in the academy that The Hidden Mist village is one of the five great nation's with the most conflicts throughout history...not long ago they referred to the land of Kiri; Village of the Bloody Mist. They're known for their countless missing-nin....

"Ino. Are you alright?"-- Chojuro asked me snapping his fingers across my face.

I was lost in thought...

"Ohh y-yeah I'm f-fine."--- I replied stuttering.

"Well come along, we need to get down to business."-- Mei said as she walked away while I was next to her.

"Here he is..."-- she said as she opened the door that had a sign that said "Interrogation Room".

I walked inside to look at who the captured ninja I would have to extract information was from.

"He hasn't even opened his mouth for the past two day's."-- Ao stated irritated.

Seems like this person is giving them a hard time...

I started to focus my vision on the man that was in front of me.

But it couldn't be...

"Why are y-you h-here?......"---
