Chapter 26: Forgiveness

×Ino's POV×

"D-d-dad?..."--- I asked as I looked at him guilty...

"Ino?...."-- he replied taking a better look at me.

"Yes!--" I was about to hug him until....

"You should be ashamed."-- he stated with a serious tone, not looking at me.

"Dad..... I'm sorry....."--- I said while I looked at my feet while clenching my fists and shutting my eyes closed.

"Sorry, isn't going to cut it. You left the village without saying a word to no one."--- he stated angrily....--"But Dad, I lived on my own and I maintained myse--" -- I started saying but quickly got cut off.

"It still doesn't give you the right to betray your village and Lady Hokage."--- he said while looking at me.

"Well if you knew the truth you would understand why I left in the first place! I don't care about that stinking village anymore! And I definitely don't care about that Bitch Tsunade!"--- I replied irritated.

I didn't want to talk anymore, I was about to leave but Chojuro took my wrist. I was about to push him away but I didn't.

"Ino. I know you're mad...but we need that information."--- he told me loosing his grip around my wrist.

"I'll gladly give it to you."-- I said as I walked towards my father.

He then looked at me, but I noticed the sadness in his eyes....the loneliness....the guiltiness....

"I know you betrayed the village, I know you're not coming back yet I don't understand why you're helping these Mist ninja so that they can attack the village."--- he told me.

Attack the village?...I turned to look back at Lady Mizukage and the other two.

"Attack the village?..."--- I asked them confused.

At I asking so, Lady Mizukage then took a deep breath before telling me what kind of information I was going to have to extract from my father.

--"....You see, we need you to extract the code of the barrier that protects the village, that way we can enter the village without setting off any alarms...."--- she then looked at me to see if I was catching on...--"And?..."-- I asked her while crossing my arms, awaiting for the explanation of why she was planning on attacking Konoha.

"And....we need to retrieve ancient weaponry your village stole from us. Although I don't want to start a commotion...."-- she added while rolling her eyes.

I never imagined they would actually try not to start a fight with Konoha...ughh who cares!?

"Fine."-- I said as I was about to look inside my own father's brain.

"Ino."-- my dad ( Inoichi) said.

"Hmm?"--

"Despite the fact you're committing a crime... you're still my daughter, and I love you no matter what you do, because you're and always will be my little flower princess. I ask for your forgiveness... I'm sorry."--- he said with a soft voice...

I felt like I was about to break down at any minute, but I bit my lip to prevent that from happening. "You're forgiven..."-- I said as I faintly smiled while my eyes started to grow watery...

"Hmm...thank you."-- was all he said before I started searching threw his mind.

"There's too much information....this is gonna take longer than I thought..."---

It took me a couple of hours until I finally found that damn code.

I came back from wandering around my father's brain.

"Did you get it?"-- Ao asked me raising an eyebrow.

"I did..but I'll only give it you if you let my father leave."-- I said with a serious tone.

"Ohh we already had planned on doing so."-- Chojuro stated while chuckling and went to untie my father.

My dad didn't say goodbye...he just left...but it's ok because atleast he apologized.

"Ino, we'd like to receive the code now."-- Mei told me as she smiled.

"Ohh umm yeah sure."-- I said. I wrote it in a piece of paper and handed it to her. She inspected it and smiled.

"Well I guess you're off the hook."-- she stated laughing.

"Yeah.."-- I said as I tried to laugh along with her...

"Anyways, it's to late at night. So why don't you stay? I've got a spare room in this overly large tower."-- she said as she gave me a key with a blue string tied on it.

"I can't accept this, I'm sure I'll be fine if I just leave."-- I stated as I was about to return her the key she just gave me.

"You're a rogue ninja who is worth a lot in The Bingo Book, every ninja of each nation is trying to get ahold of someone like you, so I say you stay and that's that."-- she told me as she sent Chojuro to show me the room I would be staying at.

I can't believe I'm actually doing this....what if it's a trap!? And they're planning on locking me inside!? Or what if Chojuro is going to knock me unconscious right now and he'll return me to the village with that Tsunade!?...

I was so lost in my own thoughts I wasn't even paying attention at what I was doing, and I wasn't paying attention at what Chojuro said.....

"Ino, did you get all that? -- he asked me raising an eyebrow.

"Ermmm... y-yeah..."-- I said trying to act convincingly but I guess my acting skills weren't working.

"What did I just say then?"---he asked me tilting his head sideways .

Ohh Dammit Ino come on....think of something....

Ok I give up I ain't got effing nothing.

"Fine you caught me. I didn't actually pay attention to anything..."-- I said while rolling my eyes.

*sigh* "I guess I'll tell you tomorrow."-- he said and walked away...

Hmmmphhh... weirdo....

I walked up into the room, it was beautiful. Just what you'd expect from a kages mansion.

I laid down and then quickly fell asleep....
