Chapter 30: It's now or never

×Sakura's POV×

We all headed straight to Kirigakure. As we got there we encountered several traps. Since it's one of the five great nations, it's hard to trespass the security outline they've got.

"Dammit! How many of these are there!?"--Kisame asked annoyed. I couldn't blame him, it seemed like every place we went through we just coincidentally stumbled across more trap's.

" Get it together Kisame. This route is the one with the least trap's according to intel we gathered for capturing the tailed beast's."-- Nagato stated calmly.

"But still, we've encountered to many of them. Don't you think the hidden mist village already noticed something's wrong? I mean we did set off the majority of them."-- I stated trying to make them realize my point.

" Well who knows.... It doesn't matter anymore since we are already here."-- Itachi spoke up.

"Everyone stop!"-- Tobi said.

We all landed on the ground to hear what he had to say.

"You shouldn't be so loud Tobi. What is it?"-- the black half of Zetsu spoke.

" None of you can enter Kirigakure. Only I am able to do so."-- he said, yet his sweet and soft voice turned somewhat deep and serious.

Everyone seemed to understand the reason why Tobi should be the one to go alone. But I wasn't convinced. "Why is he the only one that can go? And why him out of all of us?"

Tobi was about to leave alone until I opened my mouth.

"Wait! How come he's the only one going!? What if he needs backup!? Or worse, what if he doesn't make it back!"-- I said with a confused expression plastered all over me.

" Sakura. "-- Itachi said my name to capture my attention. Before he said anything he closed his eyes and it looked like he was analyzing what he was going to say. He then opened his eye's and took a deep breathe, came close to me and patted my head while leaning, looking at me straight in the eye.

"He's an exceptional shinobi whether you believe me or not, out of all of us, he's got certain remarkable abilities. Therefore he's the only one suited for this kind of situation. Just place your trust in him, he'll be fine."--- he said with a reassuring smile.

I sighed at his reply but then again, I didn't know anything about Tobi's abilities so I wasn't in the place of arguing about the subject.

" Fine...I suppose... "-- I said shrugging my shoulder's with a faint smile.

" Good. See you all in a few minutes. "-- Tobi said before vanishing into thin air, not leaving nothing but dust behind.

×Tobi's POV×

As I easily made my way through Kirigakure's Kage building without being noticed I couldn't help but notice something strangely wrong about the place.

" Hmm, hmm."-- I hummed while entering the Kage's building using my teleportation jutsu.

"Wow, they really need to step up their security game...... I thought this would be a little more of a challenge."-- I said to myself disappointed.

I made it to the Mizukage's office and flung the door open.

" Why Hello there, Lady Mizukage!"-- I waved cheerfully.

"An intruder!? You're with the Akatsuki!?" --- she said surprised standing up.
