Rain and fluffy clouds

After we got in the car I looked around to see if any teachers were nearby. It was now after lunch so they wouldn't think we were just going to eat. After I looked around I put the car in drive and sped out of the parking lot.

I was focused on the road; I didn't see what Steven was doing but he didn't make any noise. I drove through some back roads until I found a nice place to pull over. We were surrounded by trees and you could see some bluffs in the distance.

I took a deep breathe and put the car in park. I looked over to see Steven sleeping. I smiled and thought, he's so cute! I felt my face go red and turned to look out the window. I was just listening to the rain when I heard Steven.

"Ugh were am I?? He asked.

I looked over and smiled, "You're finally awake, I was worried you became Rip Van Winkle."

He laughed and punched my shoulder.

"Whatever Chilly Willy." He said in a silly voice.

"What? Chilly Willy?" I asked amused but a little puzzled.

"It was a nickname I came up with from your gamer tag." He blushed a little.

"I like it." I laughed.

"Come here Chilly Willy, CHILLY WILLY." In a spilt second he was over me and then started tickling me.

"S-s-stop or I'll have to tickle you back!" I said while trying not to laugh.

"Like you ever could do that!" He challenged me.

"Oh its on!" I said and started tickling him.

After the tickle fight we laid back in our seats and breathed fairly heavily because we were out of breath.

We sat there for a while hand in hand listening to the rain falling on the roof of the car. I didn't even remember reaching for his hand but I was glad I did. Steven's hand felt warm and I wanted to stay there forever.

I took a deep breath and sighed, "Steven we need to talk."

"About what?" He asked in a concerned tone.

"Us" I replied shortly.

He turned to me and I started to explain.

"I don't want to move to fast but I'd like to be more than friends." I said flustered.

He looked at me smiled.

"You probably don't feel the same way and I'm..." I trailed off until he cut me off.

"But I do feel the same Anthony."

"No need to lie to me out of self pity Steven." I said staring at the heavy rain through the windshield.

"I really mean it." He said with a small smile.

I looked over with little tears of happiness and wiped them away.

"Let me start over... Steven will you go out with me?" I said hopefully.

"Of course I will."

"Thank goodness." I laughed.

I looked out the window, holding Steven's hand while in thought.

"Whatca thinking about Chilly Willy?"

"I'm thinking about how I'm going to tell my parents why there's a teenage boy staying at our house."

"I'm sure you'll come up with some master plan like you always do." He said with a giggle.

I laughed and caught glimpse of the time on my car radio. I had to get to work in a couple of hours.

"I'm gonna drop you off at the house Steven and drive to work. I hate to leave you alone during a Storm but you can put on a movie or something and cuddle with Mario plush. Though I wish it was me."

He blushed a little and giggled.

I wanted to hold his hand forever but sadly I had to drive.

We finally got to my house and dropped him off. I waved and pulled away while turning my head back every couple of seconds to look at Steven. That probably wasn't a good idea because I almost ran into a trash can.

I got to the cafe I work at just on time. Just 4 hours to go. I wanted to see Steven but I had to focus on my job. Luckily, it was kinda busy from everyone taking shelter from the rain and distracted me from worrying about Steven. When I was done I texted Steven to see how he was and to tell him that I was off work.

When I got home I was drenched so I got changed and found Steven sitting on my bed holding my Mario plush wearing some of my pajama pants. I blushed but tried to hide it.

"Hey, Steven I'm back, were you ok?" I said still trying to hide my blush.

"Yea, thanks to your plushie." He hugged it even tighter.

"Also, sorry I borrowed some of your pajama pants." Steven said.

I waved my hand to signal he was fine.

I sat in the bed next to him and asked, "What were you going to do?"

"I was about to watch the Lego Movie" Steven said happily and I beamed.

"Really! I'm glad I got home when I did."

He chuckled and pressed play on the remote then leaned his head on my shoulder.

I really wanted some popcorn but I knew I needed to cut back a bit on it.

We had a good time and I the last thing I remembered was holding Steven's hand.
