-Levi's POV-
Eren Jaeger was a junior in high school and I, Levi, was a senior. I didn't know much about Eren, but he was very popular in his grade and was constantly surrounded by people. One of my best friends Hanji had lived next to Eren as long as she can remember. As far as I know they are pretty good friends and that was about all the connections I had with Eren. I don't particularly know why but Eren was SUPER attractive. I thought maybe I was gay? You see we live in a small town full of religious people not to mention we went to a catholic school. I didn't really know what gay was or had been around anyone who was gay. All our lives we had been told homosexuality didn't exist and if it did it was a disease that needed to be cured. I never understood that much and I still don't. Either way, if I was gay I couldn't let anyone know about it and there is almost no chance that anybody else in this town was too. And definitely not Eren, he had girlfriends left and right. Almost everyday at lunch when I got a peek at Eren his arm was around whatever female he wanted it to be.
I didn't do sports so my days mostly consisted of school, homework, cleaning, and hanging out with Hanji and Erwin. That was pretty great but everyday was just kind of dull. My friends both had significant others they spent time with, and I had no one. I lacked that kind of relationship in my life but it's something I wanted so badly. Especially with Eren. It was almost impossible but over the years I just can't get past his beautiful green eyes, his toned body and his outgoing, cheerful personality. He was the full package except for the fact he would never like me.
"Why don't you go out and get yourself a girlfriend?" My dad would say.
"You need to find yourself a woman before you get too old!" My family would say.
I replied with a small laugh and would shrug. I didn't want a girl I wanted Eren. I barley knew him but it felt like I was in love. I was jealous of Hanji, she hung out with Eren every week and always had stories about him which I did enjoy hearing about but sometimes it just made me feel worse.
-Hanji's POV-
I was on my way over to Eren's house next door to help him with some homework or watch a movie or something. I've been hanging out with Eren a lot recently, not because I enjoy being around him that much but mostly because of Levi. Whenever I talk about Eren Levi pays attention more and his face kinda lights up and his cheeks turn a faint pink. I didn't understand why until this instant while walking towards Eren's house when it hit me. Does he like Eren? It all started to make sense. He loves hearing about Eren, he's always sneaking peeks at him whenever he can. Sadly for Levi, Eren always had a different girlfriend every couple weeks. I personally would have no problem if Levi was gay but the rest of the town, my family, his family would probably be disgusted or disappointed by it. I knew Levi would never come out to me out of fear so I'd have to bring it out of him.
I walked into Eren's house and we began our homework session. I don't even know if Levi actually likes Eren but incase he does I'm going to be he great friend I am and be his wingman.
"How's the new gf Eren?"
"Meh. The girls are all the same. I don't understand why people like relationships so much. They aren't fun. I don't know if none of the girls here are right for me and I just don't have a connection with them or what."
This was definitely interesting. Maybe it really was that none of the girls here were right for Eren or maybe it was that he was into men.
"Hm maybe. Hey should we throw a party this weekend? Invite kids from school and have some fun?" I had something interesting in mind.
"Sure but ya know, no drugs, alcohol or smoking and shit. But yeah I'll let my
friends know about it. My house or yours?""Lets have it at mine."
Eren nodded and we continued our work. A couple minutes later I thought back on how Levi blushes whenever I talk about Eren. If Eren likes Levi, would he do the same?
"Hey Eren you know my friend Levi?"
"Um yeah what about him?" Eren's cheeks turned the slightest bit pink but I could see it. Oh my god what if they like each other??? I was trying my hardest not to fangirl over imagining them being a relationship.
"Should we invite him? I'm just asking for your opinion. You are quite popular and Levi is you know, not."
"Yeah he is your friend after all." Sweet. If what I've been thinking is correct this party will be perfect.
-Eren's POV-
"Hey Eren you know my friend Levi?"
Why would Hanji bring this up? I could feel my face get hot and I was blushing. I've had a secret crush on Levi for about a year now. He was so attractive. Earlier Hanji and I talked about my current girlfriend which I am not attracted to whatsoever. I just kind of shrugged it off and kind of covered it up. I really wanted to date Levi, I tried to sneak looks at him whenever I could and I love it when Hanji talks about him. Sadly for me, Levi is probably just like everyone else I know and is for one straight, for two probably believes homosexuality is disgusting. When Hanji brought up Levi and the whole relationship thing earlier, I kind of wanted to tell her how I feel about him and formally come out to her. Out of fear, I couldn't. Hanji left a bit later around 7 p.m. which gave me time to think. I hope she invites him to this party. Although I'll be risking my entire reputation, this may be my only chance to make a move.
Edit: I'm sorry these first chapters are gonna be REALLY shitty like, REALLY bad. Everything just works out too perfectly and it's so sappy and unrealistic. But I promise it gets better later on, like the writing and stuff. Not a whole lot better but definitely better than this shit you'll be reading for the next 4-5 chapters or so (if you read it that is). Oh well, if you read it have a good laugh at it for me. Thanks.
