"No and no."

"Kid-"

"Danny, I said no," I tell him, "I'm anti-social, parties have never been my thing and I am nowhere near confident with a collaboration."

"Look," Danny started, "I'm going to be straight forward with you. You need more fans, you've been nominated for many things, but never for artist or album of the year, none of those big and main awards. Sure, best fandom, best new artist, etc., are all good, but how the hell are you gonna be up there to top? Famous artists like Drake, Megan the Stallion, or Billie Eilish - hell even BTS, if you're just gonna stick to where you have been for these last years.

If you show that you are putting yourself out there with other artists, there's gonna be a lot of fans who will find interest with you or want you to collab with some artist. You need to be out there.

You have these big goals but you need to be out there. Thus the reason why you need to go to Halsey's annual Halloween party."

I was invited to Halsey's annual Halloween Party. I'm very happy she did invited me but she knows them, the boys and would be inviting them as well, so I was going to tell her that I couldn't attend to her event but Danny told her, before I can, 'that I will be honored to go to'.

"Cass, you need to get out, plus if you want to be on the boards and whatever else you want to  do, you need to be socialize with other people," Nirvana spoke up while she was on her phone.

"But-"

"No 'buts', you're going to that party with me," Nirvana cuts me off, it was her day off from her new job, she finally decided to work with her father, she was also invited to the annual Halloween party. She gets off her phone and walks up to me, "Whether you like it or not."

She grabbed my forearm and walked me out of Danny's office, bidding goodbyes to each other. She was taking me home so she could find us an outfit for the party. My weekend is going to be shit.

"I don't understand why you're avoiding them," Nirvana tells me, " You claim that you're over them, but once you saw them at that party, you were freaking out. I haven't seen that since high school."

"I don't know," I tell her, "But you know that I hate parties."

"I know, but you need to get out of that bubble of yours or you will never get no where."

We eventually get to my house, Nirvana greets my mom and Sherry before we head up to my room. As soon as we get to my room, she automatically walks into my closet to find whatever she can to make a costume. Surprisingly, the girl is good with clothing, surprised that she didn't become a designer. Sighing, I flop on my bed.

"What's with the depressing pose?"

"What pose?"

"Facing the ceiling."

"Not depressing, just bored and annoyed."

"Girl-"

"I'm just nervous," I admit to her," I haven't seen them in forever. You knew during senior they reached out excluding Calum- but after that, they stopped. I thought I completely moved on from that old friendship, but whenever they're mentioned, I freak out."

"That's cause you're holding onto the past," Nirvana tells me from the closet, the sounds of the hangers clustered around or dropped to the floor near her or out side. She walks out, arranging some clothing together, "You're different compared to high school; however, you still have this longing for them, I know it. Angelina know it. The girls know it. Damien and Wes knows it, especially you. You need to stop running to the past and walk forward, Cassie.
