"Cassidy, you've been here for three days," Nirvana said behind me, rubbing my back, "Go home and get proper rest."

I shook my head while rubbing my eyes, earning a loud and long yawn afterward, the tiredness still trying to overcome my body, but I refused. I look back at the girl as she continues to breathe through the lubes, "I'm fine."

"Fine?" Angelina asks me, sitting beside me, her hands placed themselves on my shoulder, turning me towards her direction to get a better look at me, "Are you fucking kidding me? Have you looked at yourself in the mirror? You're a mess!"

I scoffed in response, at this moment I could care less about my appearance. My eyes trail back to the half-dead girl on the hospital bed, tubed and needles pin to parts of her limbs so she can be attached to the machines. The only thing you can hear in the room was her heart on the monitor and when the gas helping her breathe. She can't breathe on her own.

Ever since Estrella got in the hospital on October 30, I never once left the hospital, I never left her side. It's been a few days, I've called Danny and he allowed me to take some time off and make sure I'm doing well, which hasn't gone well since Estrella's doctor informed us of the news.

It was right after her surgery, it felt like hours since she got out of it. When we all had gathered in the doctor's office for Estrella's parents, he had listed her injuries to us: a collapsed lung, a ruptured spleen, internal bleeding, broken ribs, and brain contusions.

Her doctor revealed that she's in grave condition, she might not make it due to being in a coma. The worse of all is they're unsure as to when she'll wake up.

"Please try to go-"

"I'm not leaving Estrella. Her parents aren't here, she doesn't have any family members who leave here, they all live in Mexico," I look back at the two,  "All she has is us, her best friends. She needs us, but all of you have been going in and out of this hospital and I've been the only one here. Plus three days isn't that big of a deal, so I'm not going anywhere. I'm staying put until her parents come."

"You don't need to push yourself," Grumbled Nirvana, "Everyone is worried about her, not just you. We don't have so much free time on our hands like you, but we're trying out best to come out here and be here for her. We'll come back when you're not being a big ass bitch."

Nirvana storms out, leaving the door wide open, Angelina sighs before following her movement, closing the door on her way out. I sigh for the nth time and looked back at Estrella. Eyes were closed with tape, she had a mask over her lips so she can breathe in the gas oxygen perfectly, she looked peaceful but half dead. I reach out and touch her cold hands.

"Wake up, star," I whispered to her, "It feels like an eternity since you've been here a-and you can't go. There's so much we haven't done yet, we haven't gone skiing or Bali. You have to fight through this, fight for yourself, there's so much that you haven't done."

I can already imagine her pouting, complaining that she's trying her best. Getting up, I pat her thigh before turning around, "I'm heading to the cafeteria, I'll be back soon."

Exiting out of her room, I greeted the nurses from the front desk before heading towards the elevator. Lazily pressing the main level, my phone buzzes, I reached for my phone from my butt pocket, "Hey."

"Angelina called."

"Of course, she did," I groaned as I pinched the bridge of my nose then massaging the corner of my eyes, "I'm fine."

"Fine? Okay, if that's what you want to call it," Mom laughs lightly, unconvinced.

"Okay, maybe, I'm not," I replied in annoyance.
