Kandi's p.o.v

I wake up super early to cook for my baby and I. I got my phone and seen the envelope I got it and took it with me to the kitchen. Since Chris is still sleep and it is only 7a.m I'll read the latter then cook.

Dear Kandi,

Kandi if you are reading this now I'm off in heaven with your mother and we are looking down on you baby girl. Now I know didn't do right by you and your sister and I'm sorry for that and I hate that I didn't take y'all in. Let's get right to it your aunt Donna is not someone you want to be involved with she meet this man and she changed a lot. I'm only telling you this to keep you safe. I know everything you had to do to keep your sister and again I'm sorry but don't let Donna ass no where near your happy home. She is nothing but trouble her and that fast ass little girl of hers. Now about the money I gave you and your sister is in a bank account with your name on it and its other things in there to but I can't put it in this latter you just have to see. Also I was going to take y'all in but Donna was telling the family and I all kinds of stuff about you and your mother and I'm sorry that I even believed her crazy ass. Talk to your uncle Sam asap. I love you baby girl.

"What the fuck?" I said out loud. I need to go to the bank and see want in there. I cooked Chris some eggs bacon and pancakes and took them upstairs to him. "Baby get up we need to talk." I said as he got up.

"Talk about what ma?" He asked.

"I read this latter and my grandmother said not to trust Donna and to talk to Sam asap." I told him.

"Let me see the latter." he said and I gave him the latter and he read it and I can tell he was getting mad. "We'll go talk to your uncle today he stay at your grandmother's house Donna went home to pack." Chris said.

"How you know that?"

"Sam called last night when you was sleep cause he read his latter."

"Oh okay eat so we can go." I told him and I went and got in the shower to clear my mind cause this is to much. I did what I had to do and got out and put a towel around my body and walked in the room and Chris was gone. I walked in the closet and got me some clothes and put them on the bed I put my bra and boy shorts on then got dress in some blue jeans and a black t-shirt on with my black nikes.

"Baby you look good." Chris said standing in the doorway.

"Thanks baby." I told.

"You ready?" He asked.

"Yeah but you keeping that on?" I asked him cause he had on some gym shorts and a black t-shirt and his Nikes.

"Yeah now come on." He said walking out the door. I locked up the house and we got in Chris's car.

"Baby what you think is going to happen?" I asked him.

"I don't know ma but hope nothing crazy happens cause I don't have a problem putting a cap in somebodies ass behind my family."

"Boy you ain't go do shit."

"Lets bet."

"Just watch the road Chris." I said laughing this boy is crazy and I love him. "I was thinking and praying I don't really want Donna around my kids and I really don't after reading that latter." I told him.

"It's up to you ma you know I got your back."

"You better nigga."

"Shut up and get out."

"Chris don't be rude come open the door." I said as he got out the car and came to open my door.

"Come on with your sexy ass." He said as we walked up to the door and I knocked and Sam opened the door.

"Y'all come in do y'all want something to drink?" Sam asked.

"No we good." Chris said.

"Okay let's get down to business. Kandi do you know a man name Matt?" Sam asked me and my heart stopped beating and it was like Chris was reading my mind.

"Yeah but that nigga in jail what he got to do with this?" Chris asked.

"Cause Donna is his wife....."
