chapter 19

Chris's p.o.v

After my cousin funeral we went to Jasmine's house and had a good time, but I keep have this bad feeling that something is going to happen. I don't know when but I just can't get over this feeling. I was sitting in Jasmine living room when my little cousin Alexis ran up to me and sat next to me.

"What's up little cousin?" I asked her.

"I'm sad." she said and for a 4 year older she is super smart.

"Why you sad?"

"Cause mama sad and I had a dream someone is going to hurt you."

"Your mama just lost her sister she'll be happy b4 you know it, and as of me I'm good no one is going to hurt me."

"Okay cousin Chris." she said hugging me and walked out side. Then Kandi walked in the house.

"Baby I'm ready to get the kids home." she said.

"Okay get their stuff and I'll bring them to the car." I told her and she nodded and I went to the backyard and Shay ran to me. "Go inside mama wants you." I told her and shebran inside Ally and Raven had the twins. "Y'all we about to go home." I told the family.

"Okay bye y'all." they said at the same time. I got the twins in the car and locked them and and made my way out the driveway and to our house. We haven't been on the road for 10mins. and I seen someone following us I ain't tell Kandi. I just pulled my phone out once we got to a red light and text my right head man.

Me: Oh Jay you and David met me at my house.

Jay: Bet boss.

"Baby its a green light." Kandi said and I started driving again. "Baby why is that car following us?" she asked damn I don't need her freaking out.

"I don't know ma." I told her as I passed up our house and this car is still on my ass. I need to know who in the fuck this is. My phone started ringing and it was Jay. "What's up?" I said into the phone.

"We here boss." was all he said and I hung up.

"Baby I want you to take the kids inside and go up stairs." I told her and she just nodded. I pulled up to the house and the car parked a block down. I helped kandi take the kids inside and I walked back out side and talked to Jay and David. "Its a black suv down the block and its been following me since I got from my cousin house and I need someone watching my house and my family's houses at all time." I told David he nodded and got on the phone and I ain't even have to tell Jay cause he was already down the block. I know for a fact that it ain't no cops.

Kandi's p.o.v

I don't know how much I can take of this shit. I try not to think about what's going on but I'm not about to lose him to this street life he is living. I don't know what the hell is going on, but I'm happy the kids are little and want none of this. I walked over to the Window and seen Chris walking up the driveway and in the house. I could hear his foot steps coming up the stairs.

"Get away from the Window." I heard him say.

"Chris I don't like this kind of life baby." I told him as I walked over to him.

"I know ma I don't like it either baby." he said putting his arms around me.

"You told me you'll give this life up for us."

"I know ma and that's just want I'm going to do b...."

"Ain't no but to it Chris I'm not going to no more funerals, so get this shit over and done with baby or we are gone." I said with tears running down my face.
