*Dacota's POV*
"Cover your face and run to the car." Harry said to me. We both push past them as they shouted questions at us.
"Harry, how's life being normal?"
"Harry, how's school?"
"Styles, who's this?"
"Can you confirm this girl to be your new girlfriend?" I couldn't help but let out a giggle at this one. Me, dating Harry? Yeah, that'll happen. Finally, we had made it past everybody and into my car.
"Where do I go?" I asked Harry.
He just shrugged, and said, "Drive for awhile until we've lost them. They'll be driving, too." I nodded and started the car. I drove out of his driveway and down the street, going just a bit over the speed limit. Soon, white, fancy cars were zooming after us, with people with cameras sticking out of the windows.
"That's very dangerous." I said, "One of them could fall out and I would lose control of this vehicle from laughing so hard." Harry laughs and I look in the rear view mirror. "I feel like I'm in a bad spy movie." We both laugh, and as I drive around being chased by celeb stalkers, we come up with names for this terrible spy movie. I drive around downtown for awhile until the people hanging out of the windows crawled back inside their cars and the cars swerved away.
I let out a breath of relief, "So, tutoring at my house, yeah?" He just nods. I get a sense of where I'm going, then turned and started heading to my house. Harry was mostly quiet, and whenever I looked over at him, he averted his eyes. "What's wrong?" I finally ask.
"I'm just really sorry about that. Paparazzi are dicks." I smiled at his concern.
"It's fine, really. It was kind of fun, but I can only imagine how I'd feel after three years of that."
"Yeah, it really sucks." We finally pull into my driveway. It was only around six, so my parents wouldn't be home for another few hours. I stop the car when safely in the garage. Harry walks behind me as I opened the door to reveal my home.
"You can just dump your stuff on the counter." I say as I point. He gently places his backpack on the counter, which makes me smile. I lead him to the main room, where the coffee table and television was. I sat down on the couch next to the coffee table and patted the space next to me. Harry smiled and joined me, papers and pencil in hand. He plops next to me, the leather sinking beneath me. "So, what do you need help with?" I ask him.
"Everything. I thought it was gonna be easy coming back to school, but I was so, so wrong. I don't understand anything."
"That's OK, a lot of people in the class don't get it. But, instead of running around being a super star, they're sleeping." We laugh and I help him with everything he asked about. I helped him finish his homework and study for the test. By the time we were finished, it was around 8 o' clock, still a few hour 'til my mom and dad would get home. "So, what do you wanna do now?" I ask him, my fingers wrapping themselves around the charm around my neck.
"Um, I don't know." Harry says as my stomach rumbles. I clutch a hand to it, my cheeks tinting red. "But I think you should eat something." I smack his arm and stand, moving to grab the phone. I know the pizza delivery number by heart, and ordered a large pizza. I turned on the TV and changed the channel to some entertainment news of some sort.
I went to my purse to grab some cash for the pizza, but Harry says, "Don't even think about it." I turn to see him reaching into his pocket, taking out his wallet.
"Harry, no, I can't ask you to pay."
"Well, too bad."
We were interrupted by the lady on Entertainment Tonight saying, "Breaking News, does the teen sensation, Harry Styles, have a new girlfriend? Pictures were taken today of Harry and this new girl," a picture appeared of me, coming out of his house, not four hours ago. "coming out of Harry's rented house in Polo, Illinois, during the boyband's much needed break. Are they a thing? We'll have more after this." She gathers her papers together, clicks them on the shiny, black table in front of her, and the camera zooms away from her. I rub my forehead with my hand.
"Well, that was to be expected." I muttered. "It'll be fine, since it's so not true."
"So not true." Harry agrees. "Just promise me to not to get on Twitter. Hate will be everywhere."
"Thanks, but I'll be fine." The doorbell rings, and Harry tosses his wallet to me. I take out the appropriate amount of money, toss it back to him, open the door, pay the delivery man, and take the box to the coffee table, where Harry had his phone pressed to his ear.
"No, sir, I promise, she's just a friend. She was coming over to help me with Geometry when we got swarmed. We needed to get away from the cameras, so we drove to her house. Nothing is going on between us, I swear. Yeah, I know, I'll let the guys know. OK, thank you." He hangs up and says, "Management just clearing things up." I nod my head and open the box, the delicious pizza smells wafting through the air. We eat pizza and watch TV until around 10, when Harry decides he should leave. So, I drive him back home, paparazzi-free. I drive back home, with every radio station talking about "Harry Styles New Girlfriend". I scoff at each news report, and turn the station. When I get home, I clean up, throwing away the pizza box and starting on my own homework. My life sure was boring before a celebrity came into it.
