*Dacota's POV*

When I woke up the next morning, I was instantly greeted by Harry's bare chest. I smiled at the thought of last night, and snuggled closer to him. Harry's arm swung over and pressed me even closer.

"Cody, you awake?" Harry's raspy morning voice floated into my ear.

I looked up to make eye contact with him and said, "Yeah. How'd you sleep?"

"Well, fine, after, you know-"

"Yeah, yeah, after that."

"Oh, then, yeah, it was good."

"Yeah, yeah, same."

"And for you, was it, um-"

"Oh, yeah, it was great. I mean, sleeping."

"Yeah, that's what I meant, too."

"Yeah."

"Yeah."

When I looked back at him, we made eye contact and I burst out laughing.

"What?" he asked, widening his eyes and looking at me like I'm crazy.

I shook my head, tried to contain myself, and barely got out, "Nothing. I'm sorry, nothing." I collapsed back onto the bed and buried my face into his chest.

"You're perfect," Harry muttered into my hair.

"Barely," I whispered back. He swung his arm around me and squeezed me. I looked up at him and placed my hand on his neck.

"I love you a lot," he said. I lifted my head and placed my lips on his, savoring the taste of him before he had to go again.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The next couple days went by too fast. We went to their show in Chicago, I got to meet the rest of the boys and their girlfriends, I got to finally listen to their new songs.
But, today was the day they had to leave again. I'll admit, I was pretty sad, but it wasn't as bad as last time. I swung his hand back and forth, rolling one of his suitcases behind me.
Eventually, I saw Perrie and Eleanor standing next to a Starbuck's. I gave Harry's case to Paul, who was also nearby, and ran over to them.
"Hey, guys!" I said. I was met with more cheerful 'hey's and was handed my favorite coffee.
"Wow, I met you guys yesterday, and you know my Starbucks order." We all laughed, but I saw out of the corner of my eye Perrie nodding to someone away from us. I looked over and saw Zayn nodding to someone else. I furrowed my eyebrows, and tried to see who he was nodding to, but Eleanor grabbed my shoulder and led me to the bathroom.
"Sorry, just need to freshen up. Been crying a bit, haven't seen Lou in ages," she said.
I nodded and smiled, "Yeah, I know that feeling. Screw looking pretty, no makeup equals no raccoon eyes." El laughed, wiped under her eyes with a paper towel, then took my hand and led me back out. We found Perrie just as the boys' flight was ten minutes from leaving. Surprisingly, there were no tears, there were actual smiles. Genuine smiles. When they looked over at us, the boys started talking excitedly. I was really confused.
Considering, we were in private jet hangar, nobody else was around. It got even emptier when the others literally ran onto the jet. I tried to walk after them, but a piece of paper floated onto the floor. I let out a giggle when I saw it was folded into an airplane. I stooped over to pick it up and unfolded.
Written on it was;
'Dear Cody,
OK, I quite honestly know if this is going to work, but I do not care. Dacota, dammit, I love you so much. I was never really good at relationships, being a kid or now. Actually, the one with Taylor was set up with PR and I hated her guts.
Anyways. Cody, you're perfect. You're gorgeous, kind, funny, and honestly, I had thought I would've been the single one of the band forever. But, thank God I'm not, because I have a question to ask you.
Turn around.'
"Oh, my God," I whispered. The paper shook in my nervous hand. I slowly turned around and saw Harry, kneeling on one knee. "OK. OK," I whispered in a high-pitched squeal. Harry laughed, and the smile never left his face.
"Cody."
"Harry," I laughed. He reached into his pocket and I think I almost started hyperventilating. I rose my hand to my mouth and I could feel tears spring to my eyes. Out came a little, velvet, blue box in Harry's hands.
"Dacota Ivy Lancaster. You've been through a lot. And, in my defense, I've seen through it and helped you through it." I nodded in agreement. "I love you so, so much. You've made me happy, and I can't picture a day without you. If you lived to be a hundred years old, I hope to be exactly one hundred years old and a day, so I'd never have to live without you."
"Did you just quote Winnie the Pooh in your proposal?"
"Yeah, yeah, I did."
"Alright, then."
"OK, anyways...I lost my train of thought. Screw it. Cody, I love you, will you marry me?"
I gasped when he opened the box. Inside, the ring glistened in the light. It had two thin bands intertwining, with the diamond straight in the middle. One band was encrusted with smaller stones, and the other pure silver.
"Oh, my God, yeah. Yeah. Harry, oh my God, yeah."
He stood and attacked me in a hug. I could hear distant cheers from the plane and I laughed. I turned and saw everybody giving high fives and screaming. I faced Harry again and saw so much emotion in his eyes.
I held out my hand and Harry slipped the ring on my hand, fitting perfectly.
And, with that, I was engaged to the most perfect man I could have ever have pictured myself with.
