*Dacota's POV*
I didn't go to school the next day. Neither did Harry. We stayed at my house and did nothing.
"How are you feeling?" he asks me when I get downstairs at 9:00.
"Okay," I say and rub my shoulder gently. It has a little pad over it still. I could probably take it off. They said only 24 hours with it on. I slowly rip the pad off and put it in the trash.
"What was that?" he asks.
"Well, I was going to tell you yesterday, but Em and I got tattoos after school." I smile a bit.
"What?!" he says excitedly. "Let me see it!" I shrug my shirt down off my shoulder and reveal my paper airplane. He runs his fingers over it and it tickles.
"What do you think?" I ask quietly.
"I love it," he says back just as quietly. He places a kiss on the tattoo and starts to kiss up my neck until he reaches my lips. After what feels like forever, we break apart. We place our heads against each other's. "What do you want to do today?" he asks.
"Honestly, I want to stay here. I want to sit in bed and just sleep. But, alas, I'm not really tired. We can watch movies in my parents room-" I cut myself off. "Old room. They have a TV in there." Tears start to well up a bit and Harry wipes them away before they fall.
"Are you sure you want to go in there?" He puts a hand on my waist. I nod.
"It will need to happen sometime and I'll want to get it over with." So I grab his hand and we walk into their room. It still smells like my mother's perfume and father's aftershave. A tear rolls down my cheek. I sit on the bed slowly and grab the remote. I pat the spot next to me for Harry. He joins me and pulls me into his side.
"I love you," he says into my hair.
"I love you, and thank you."
"For what?" he asks.
"Staying with me and helping me through this," I say and put my head in his chest.
"There's nowhere else I would want to be." He smiles and we turn on a movie.
