I rolled out of bed at 6AM. I know it was much too early but I was excited for Brantley's first Christmas. I attempted to wake Jeremy up, but he just rolled over.
I went downstairs and grabbed something to eat to past time.
I heard Brantley crying at about 7AM which is a little odd, but I wasn't complaining.
"Merry Christmas!" I said bursting threw his door. Maybe I was a little too excited. I think I scared him, but he instantly smiled as soon as he seen it was me. "Let's go wake Jeremy up!" I picked him up out of his crib.
I caried him to my room and put him beside Jeremy. Brantley started hiting him lightly.
"Hey, little man." He chuckled.
A few minutes later we were downstairs. I couldn't wait to see what Jeremy and Brantley got me. If Jeremy even got me anything with all the fighting we have been doing.
It took about two hours for us to get threw all of Brantley's gifts. It was cute, even though he didn't quite get the concept.
I got Jeremy a sweater, some things for his truck, and some other small things, but I didn't see any presents for me from him. The only reason I could think of was last nights fight. We were out with his friends, they were all drinking, and a few things got brought up. He said something to me and I told him I hated him. I hope he didn't think I meant it.
I was pouting around feeling sorry and mainly only talking to Brantley. I didn't know what to say to Jeremy. However, soon Brantley fell asleep, leaving Jeremy and I alone.
"I love you." I said, not caring that he didn't get me anything. Christmas wasn't suppose to be about presents anyway. If it weren't for Jeremy, Brantley and I would be alone today. I cuddled up to him on the couch.
"That isn't what you said last night.". He replied. Okay, so he really was hurt by it.
"I told you I was sorry, and what about what you said to me? Or the things your friends said? That hurt too you know." I didn't move though.
"Yes, let's keep it at i'm the bad guy, it's always my fault with you."
"I don't want to argue, can we please get along today for Brantley?"
"Mhm." He knew I hated that word.
I got up and went to the kitchen to get my phone. Jeremy went upstairs.
Brooke: Are you hungry?
I texted him. Then my phone rang.
"Hello, Auntie."
"Are you guys coming for dinner?" She asked.
"I would imagine."
"Okay, love you, Merry Christmas!"
"You too, Auntie."
I could tell she was stressed out. Christmas was always a busy day for her.
While I was on the phone I missed a text message.
